Title: Giving is a blessing.
Bible: Acts 20:31-38
Starting Point of the Word>>
Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
God has made us a source of blessing.
When God called Abraham, the father of faith and the channel of blessing, He said the following:
“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, and you will be a blessing.”
‘Becoming a source of blessing’ means ‘becoming a person who distributes blessings’.
He said that it would be a source of blessing in this way, and he said the following again.
“All peoples on earth will be blessed in you.”
This promise that all peoples on the earth will be blessed because of Abraham was fulfilled just as it was.
This is because Jesus Christ was born among the descendants of Abraham, and that Jesus became the savior who saved all peoples in the world and delivered the blessings of heaven.
This is the purpose of Jesus calling us to become God's people.
He chose us to be a source of blessings like Abraham, and to share blessings with others through us.

Then, if we become children of God and people who share blessings, what should we share with others?
First, we must distribute the substances necessary for the body.
While a person has a body, he cannot live without material things.
However, there are many people around us who suffer from lack of these substances.
It is the duty of the saints to share when we can share what we need with such people and when we have the ability to share.
God gives joy to such a person and adds a life of gratitude.
According to Proverbs 19:17,
“If you have compassion on the poor, you lend to the Lord, and he will repay you for their good deeds.”
God promises to repay you for caring for the poor with compassion.
God also speaks in Proverbs 11:24-25.
“There are some things that scatter and give, but you will become richer. If you spare too much, you will only become poor. Those who love giving will have abundance, and those who nourish others will be refreshed.”
In the era of the Early Church, the saints who received the Holy Spirit were moved by their hearts and voluntarily sold their possessions and gave it to the poor.
According to Acts 4:32,
“The believers were of one heart and one mind, and all had things in common, and there was no one who claimed that even a little of his possessions were his.”
I did.
As a result, the early church members did not lack material resources.
“There was no one in need among them, for those who had fields and houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the sale, and laid them at the apostles’ feet, and they distributed it to each one according to their need.”
I did.
In Galatians 6:9 and below,
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we are not weary. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially the families of the faith.”
In 1 Timothy 6:18,
“Do good, be rich in good works, be generous and sympathetic, for this is to build a good foundation for yourself on a pole and take the real life.”
To help others like this is to build a good foundation for yourself in the future and take the true life.
By having stewardship of what we have, we should become believers who give for God's joy.
Second, what the saints can give to others is “a heart of love.”
It is truly a happy thing to be able to love and be loved by others while living in this world.
More than anyone else, the saints are living with the love of God and are blessed people who realize this fact and live.
We must realize clearly that we are receiving the love of God who chose sinners like me to wash away all our transgressions and sins, and to make us children of God.
If we do not realize God's love, we cannot enjoy true joy even if we believe in God and live in God's arms.
As a result, there is no joy and no gratitude.
We become happy saints only when we realize God's love.
When we become happy saints, we become saints who always rejoice, give thanks in everything, and pray without ceasing.
Also, we must become believers who share the love of God that we have received, not just ourselves.
Therefore, it should be a relationship of saints who pray for others, encourage each other, and comfort each other.
When we want to share this love with others, please remember that God allows us to experience and share the grace of love more abundantly.
Third, the greatest blessing that believers can be a source of blessing and share with others is to give the “gospel”.
We must remember that the gospel is a far more precious and precious gift than material things.
The gospel is the best way to deliver the best of love.
The good news is that “Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and rose from the dead to bring you from death to life.” This is the best news for those who have lost their way and are wandering.
Today's people are living in the world with material abundance, but they are not happy because God does not exist in them and Jesus does not exist.
It's because they don't know the purpose of life, they just live as the wind blows.
Jesus said.
“I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
We are not abandoned by the world, but loved by God.
We must become saints who spread the gospel of God.
Although we cannot give material things because we do not have it, we must be able to give only the Gospel.
God has given us the privilege of preaching the gospel.
A more precious thing than rescuing someone who is dying from drowning is to share the gospel and save souls from death.
It is the most precious and beautiful thing to make souls who are going to hell to become people of heaven.
It is also to convey the purpose of Jesus coming into this world.
In Mark 1:38, Jesus said:
“As we go to other nearby villages, we will preach there as well, for this I have come.”
Jesus said the same thing in the Gospel of Luke.
He said, "I must preach the gospel of the kingdom of God in other towns, too, for I have been sent," he said and preached in several synagogues in Galilee.
On one occasion, Jesus set aside 70 disciples besides the 12 apostles and sent them out in pairs to each town he was going to go to.
They went out and drank the gospel, and when they returned, they rejoiced and reported this.
“Lord, in your name even the demons surrender to us.
Then Jesus said, "Do not rejoice that the demons surrender to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
Even the demons could not move in front of the disciples who preached the gospel.
But Jesus said to his disciples, what should rejoice more than the surrender of a demon is that my name is written in heaven.
At the end of the speech>>
Organize your words.
Today, God has established me and you as a channel of blessing like Abraham in this age.
It is not just that we are the only ones to enjoy God's blessings.
He chose us as workers to give to our neighbors with what we have in the flesh, to share love, and to preach the gospel.
According to Luke 6:38,
"Give, and it will be given to you; and it will be given to you, pressed down, shaken and overflowing, and given to you."
said the Lord.
The more abundant the love and grace of God shared through you today, the more abundantly God grants us abundant blessings and grace.
