God finds us when we lack a title
Exodus (10) God finds us when we are in need (Exodus 3:16-22)
< What kind of God is God? >
Who is God? First, God is a God who watches over us (verse 16). Job 31:4 says this. “Does not he see my ways, or does he not count all my steps?” People do not know how many steps they take in a day. But God also counts how many steps we take in a day. That is why God cares so deeply that he works for us and makes all things work together for good.
Second, God is the God who controls history. The expression that appears most often in the text is the expression God said, “I did it” (verses 17-21). What is the first requirement for victory in life? It is to abide completely in God who is in control of history and is in control of each individual's life. Without God, business collapses, family collapses, and life collapses. If things don't work out, seek God. God will help. On the other hand, if things are going well, then seek God even more. Because that is the time when Satan will attack more.
Third, God is a God who gives abundantly (verses 21-22). God had a will for a while so that the Israelites were to be slaves in Egypt, but God's ultimate will is to enrich God's people. So, after reversing the many sorrows and pains experienced during slavery at once, and allowing him to acquire many possessions, he made them leave Egypt. God is a just God. If we do not retreat in faith, God will surely make up for the lost time and let us enjoy abundance.
< The God who finds you when you lack it >
People often think that the place where God appears will be a great place. But when God appeared to Moses, He appeared from the flames of a bush in the wilderness. The bush is an unsightly tree that grows only about two meters tall, like a thorn bush growing in the wilderness. How wonderful would it be to meet in a straight tree growing in a fertile place, a magnificent cedar that inspires admiration, or an old tree that gives a sense of mystery? But God does not enjoy looking for fancy places.
A place with a splendid interior is a place people seek, not a place God seeks. God is looking for more churches and people like the bush. He only meets people who admit that they are lacking and insignificant like that.
If you look at people's lives, most of them have common phenomena. In the pioneering stage of starting something, we earnestly seek God and pray knowing that only God is the way. Then, when you succeed and your life becomes stable, you lose your earnest prayer. Because there are many ways to live. If you lose your earnestness in prayer like that, God is not interested in your prayer. God is more interested in the prayers of those who have no way but God.
Now, if you are successful in life, pray more, if you are healthy, pray more, and if you are high, pray more. Conversely, do not become discouraged even if you are in a low position, and do not become discouraged even if you are given fewer opportunities for blessings. When human opportunities are few, think of it as a golden opportunity to receive God's help, and hold on to God more tightly. Then, you will experience the work of God who seeks you out when you are lacking.
