Guarantee of subject response
2011.6.22 Sunday morning worship service
Bible: Philippians 4:6-7
Subject: Guarantee of Response
Philippians 4:6-7 ‘6. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.' - Amen.
Prayers must be answered. Otherwise, it is just a meaningless religious act. How do you get a response and what guarantees do you have? I would like to appeal the word under the title of <Guarantee of Answer>.
1. There must be something to be concerned about
The text tells us not to worry, but it does not mean to live without thinking, it means to hold on to the areas of concern and do not remain in despair. The word merimnavw of concern refers to the so-called 'worry', but in a negative sense it means 'to suffer from worry'. It will come only when you are properly aware of the problems in your life, look at them, and become concerned.
Matthew 24:50 “The master of the servant came on a day when he did not expect it, at an hour that he did not know.” Salvation is obtained by those who contemplate that they are sinners. Even those who receive grace through faith eventually struggled according to God's will, so there was a plan.
2 Corinthians 7:10 "God's sorrow works repentance that leads to salvation without regret, and worldly sorrow works death." And it means that there will be a title that will develop. Those who received God's grace in the Bible didn't just live the world as it should be, but those who concentrated their attention and troubled heard God's voice, received guidance, and received the filling of the Holy Spirit.
2. Be thankful and pray
There are many cases of people saying that there is no answer without even praying for it. James 4:2 “...you do not have, because you do not ask.” We need to reflect on whether we have sincerely sought God's help in the world we are worried about. To pray means to have faith, and faith also means to have the heart to pray.
Text, Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
I have concerns, but I just told them to tell God. In order to receive a response, you must first know how to understand. The sentence telling us not to worry is in the imperative way, and it is a command like ‘Stop worrying! 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxieties on the Lord, for he cares for you.”
3. Peaceful thoughts
Anxiety and peace are opposite concepts. However, the meaning of the word peace is completely different from the word negligence. Negligence does not have any troubles per se, so there is no solution process, but peace is the spiritual peace that God gives after resolving anxiety and anxiety.
Philippians 4:7 “Then the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
All human beings live with the concept of anxiety since they committed original sin.
Isaiah 48:22 “There is no peace with the wicked, says the Lord.” Spiritual peace cannot be stopped by the experience and knowledge of the world, but only from the Lord. Text John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.”
A person's thoughts are basically embodied in the circumstances of the world, so there are a lot of concerns about all emotions and the future. The biggest worry in life is the judgment after death. I pray that God will lead us in all things as if we entrusted our souls to God and pray with a grateful heart. do.
