1. Joseph, unable to contain his affections in front of his attendants, cried out, saying, “Get everyone away from him.” And he made himself known to his brothers, and no one else was with him at that time.
2. And Joseph wept with a loud voice, and the Egyptians heard it, and it was heard in Pharaoh's court.
3. And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph; is my father still alive?
4. Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me,” and as they drew near, he said, “I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.
5. Don't be sad because you sold me here, don't be sad, for God sent me before you to save lives.
6. There was a famine in the land for two years, and yet there will be no plowing and no harvest for five years.
7. God sent me before you to preserve your life by a great salvation and to put your descendants into the world.
8. Wherefore, it was not you who sent me here, but God. You have made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord over all his household, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

12. Your eyes and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see that it is my mouth that speaks these things to you.
13. You say to my Father all the glory that I have enjoyed in Egypt and all that you have seen, and bring him down quickly.
14. And Benjamin, his brother, wept, and Benjamin also wept, holding Joseph's neck.
15. And Joseph kissed and embraced his brothers again, and wept, and only then did the brothers talk to Joseph.
16. And when it came to Pharaoh's palace that Joseph's brothers had come, Pharaoh and his servants rejoiced
