1. to get a job
This is a good thing.
Believers should hope for the office of deacon, deacons for the office of deacon, and priests for the office of elder.

If you board a pirate ship, it is good to disembark quickly
If you are on the Ark of Salvation, it is natural to take on the precious responsibility and be loyal in the boat of salvation you are on.
However, there are conditions that must be met in order to take on the position.
2. There should be nothing to reproach
First, there must be blamelessness, and in order to satisfy this condition, there are requirements that must be met as a community and conditions that must be met individually.
2.1. cover each other
As a community, there must be love that covers each other's faults. Only then will the number of people who desire positions in the church increase, and the church will have vitality.
1 Peter 4:
(7) The end of all things is near; therefore, be sober and sober and pray.
(8) Above all else, love one another zealously, for love covers a multitude of sins.
2.2. Efforts must be made to protect oneself and remove blemishes
It also calls for a life of godliness that protects oneself personally. James defines godliness as follows:
about 1:27
(27) Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
3. List of virtues to have
In other words, those who dream of becoming church leaders must keep themselves and lead a godly life to meet the following requirements.
3.1. family life
Church leaders should (2) be respected by their wives as husbands of one wife and (4) be respected by their children.
3.2. Relationships
Church leaders should be generous in their relationships.
We must (2) treat strangers, (3) be tolerant and not quarrelsome, and (7) live the witness of the Holy Spirit so that we can obtain good witnesses from outsiders.
3.3. leadership
A leader should (2) teach well, and teaching here refers to exemplary leadership.
1 Peter 5:3 Do not be arrogant to those entrusted to you, but be an example to the flock.
Also, there should be an abundance of freedom and peace in your family life. (4) One must be able to control one's house well and exert an influence of neatness.
Also, in order to train leaders (6), it is necessary to take care not to appoint a new member to a responsible position too early. We must take root and live our faith in one church so that we do not become new members of a certain community.
3.4. spiritual attitude
The spiritual attitudes you should have as a leader are as follows.
(2) Temperance - It is the final fruit among the 12 fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
(2) sober - (3) not drinking alcohol - self-centered, selfish
(3) I do not love money
1 Timothy 6:10
The love of money is the root of all evil, and those who long for it have been deceived, and have erred from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
4. It is a good thing to have these virtues and to hope for an office.
In conclusion, it is a good thing to hope for a position, but it requires an extraordinary commitment and participation in sanctifying one's life. To desire only an office without virtue is more ugliness than any greed in the world and harms the community. Let us serve one another in love.
