How to Enter Heaven
Contents
The way to enter heaven is the law of faith. Therefore, it is written, “Where then is there room to boast? by what law or by works, but not by the law of faith” (Romans 3:27).
The Lord said the law of faith is the law of a little child. As the Lord said, the kingdom of heaven is a country where you cannot enter unless you turn and become like a child. When a little child comes up with something better, he throws away the old one. No matter how good something is, when something better comes out, everything that was good is thrown away.
All the ancestors who inherited eternal life followed this law. It is written, “If they had thought about the country from which they came, they would have had the opportunity to return, but now they long for a better homeland, which is in heaven; therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; prepared” (Hebrews 11:15-16).
In order for a person to turn and become a child, he must be born again. Regarding this, the Lord says, "...Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
A person born of the flesh cannot become a child again. Although Nicodemus was a teacher in Israel, he did not know the law of faith to become a child again. Therefore, "Nicodemus said, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second mother's womb and be born?" (John 3:4).
When a person is reborn as a spirit, he is no longer in the body but in the spirit. It is written, “You shall not lie to one another, because you have put off the old man and his deeds, and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge in the image of him who created him” (Colossians 3:9-10). will be renewed up to .
That is why he said that the kingdom of heaven is like a person who finds a treasure hidden in a field. When he finds treasure in a field, he sells all he owns with joy and buys the field. It is the same as it is written, “Peter said to him, Behold, we have left all that is ours and followed you” (Luke 18:28).
Now let's look at the Word of Wisdom given to those who have the law of faith. It is written, "A certain ruler asked, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God. You know the commandments. Do not commit adultery, do not murder. “You shall not steal, do not bear false witness, honor your father and mother.” They said to him, “I have kept these things since I was a child.” When Jesus heard these words, he said to them, “You lack one thing. Sell everything you have and divide the poor. Give, and you will have treasure in heaven. And come, follow me.” When he heard this, he was very sad, because the man was very rich” (Luke 18:18-23).
If this rich ruler had known the law of a child, the law of faith, he would have sold everything he had in order to receive the Lord, who is more precious than everything in this world, and followed the Lord and inherited the kingdom of God. This sad thing is still happening to everyone. They say that they have gained eternal life, that is, salvation, and are loving this world and things in the world. This is truly evidence that they have not gained eternal life and they are liars.
If you have gained Christ, everything is dung and excrement. Because our life is Christ, we even lay down our lives. Therefore, you can lay down your life for a friend who has gained Christ. This is because we know the precious law of faith, believing in Him who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.
Christ Jesus, the firstfruits, said, “The Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order that it may be taken again; no one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I have received...” (John 10:17-18).
Therefore, the new commandment, the law of faith, is the law of love. I give up this kingdom and myself for the sake of that kingdom and Christ who is our life. As it is written, “Nevertheless, I have nothing to boast about except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world” (Galatians 6:14). to sell it and buy Christ and the kingdom of God
Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is not my kingdom and my righteousness, but as it is said, “Seek his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33), so the kingdom of heaven is his kingdom and his righteousness. When you get this good thing, you throw away all the old things. This knowledge is the knowledge of the truth.
The Lord said in detail about this, "...I tell you the truth, whoever has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will not receive many times as much in this time as it is, and eternal life in the age to come. There is none” (Luke 18:29-30). This is the path that leads to eternal life.
Therefore, “Go in through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and many go in by it. Inwardly they are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:13-15). Heaven and earth will pass away, but not one word of the Lord will ever fall to the ground, and all will come true.
The eternal kingdom, power, and glory be to God our Father, who has spoken to us through his Son, the victory, that is, the way of the cross. Amen, thank you Lord.
