How to Maintain Grace (Hebrews 3:12)

Today, through the words of Hebrews 3:12, I will preach under the title of How to Maintain Grace.

Text: Beware, brethren, lest any of you harbor an evil heart in unbelief and fall from the living God.

As there is an old saying that a thief comes to a house with treasure, a thief follows the rich.

Likewise, the devil's work follows the spiritual and physical rich. Therefore, I hope that it will be a precious time for us who live in reality to find a way through God's Word how to keep the precious grace that God has given us without being stolen.

1. You must always watch and pray to maintain grace (Matthew 26:40-41)

Watch and pray so that you do not fall into temptation.

The heart is willing, but the body is weak.

The disciples who failed while sleeping.

It would not be too wrong to emphasize that the history of Christianity was accomplished through prayer. It is because those who succeed in the Bible are those who pray. Prayer is the shortcut that Jesus came to this earth and became successful. He prayed for 40 days, fasting and praying, in the mountains, on the riverside, or in the empty fields at any time and place. Jesus prayed, so the work continued. Even on the night of his arrest, he prayed in a place called Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives, discerning the will of Jesus and God, giving up his will, choosing the will of God the Father, and choosing death on the cross. Those who did not pray seem to believe that Jesus who prayed was a sylper, and those who did not pray might think like a victor, but after 3 days, you can see that Jesus, who died after praying, is the victor of the resurrection.

#Apostle Paul also maintained grace until the end, whenever a thorn in his body tormented him. If you glorify God while maintaining the grace that God has given you to the end because you have prayed, you have become a witness to the faith of all people.

2. Do not be conceited to maintain grace.

1 Corinthians 10:12 Therefore, those who think that they are standing should be careful lest they fall.

Just as pride is forbidden in all things, pride in the life of faith brings ruin.

Judas also fell into self-confidence, unable to maintain his grace, and was destroyed. He was rebuked for showing arrogant behavior without knowing the will of God or the will of Jesus and Mary.

Everyone, do you know how many people are disappointed and tested and unable to edify because of proud believers today? Those who do not believe that they will not be able to stand up to their faith, or they will not be able to stand up, should look back at themselves.

3. Those who see, hear, and teach the word of God maintain grace (1 Timothy 4:13)

In 1 Timothy 4:13, focus on reading, exhortation, and teaching until I work.

This is because the Word of God is the root, the water, the stem, and the fruit.

Without the Word of God, we cannot understand, we cannot have the assurance of faith, we cannot receive grace and we cannot maintain grace.

In these days, there are many innocent people who set up altars and emphasize grace while hiding the word of God and saying that they are tongues, prophecies, and laying on of hands.

If you look at the words of Acts 10:44, remember that it is written that the Holy Spirit descends on all who hear the word while Peter was speaking these words, and I hope you will keep your grace centered on the word.

4. Maintain grace when you are careful about fellowship (Psalm 1)

Psalm 1:1-2, "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, who does not stand in the way of sinners, and does not sit in an arrogant seat."

Blessed are those who have received the grace of God.

Therefore, you should refrain from fellowship with evil people.

If you consult and walk with the evil one, you are standing on the evil path, and you are being tempted by the evil one and forsake the grace of God and stumble in your faith. Those who have received grace from God should not stand on the path of sinners. There are rumors that the line is long after drinking beer. Then there are those who say that they go deeper in the second car. Those who do not go to church on Sundays because of eating or tourist sleepers with unbelievers, standing on the path of sinners and forsaking God's grace It seems like you have to be careful.

If you work on briquettes, briquette powder will get on your clothes, if you touch the wheat, your body will be covered with flour, and if you work with oil, you will get oil on your body. If you associate with someone who prays, you will pray, and if you have fellowship with someone who sees the Word, you will see the Word and receive grace. If you do it together, you will receive grace.

I hope you all have fellowship with this.

5. Temperance maintains grace (Romans 8:13).

Romans 8:13 says that if you live according to the flesh, you must die; but if you put to death the deeds of the body by the Spirit, you will live.

As God-given grace, the one who kills the impulses of the flesh and controls them will live, but if they do not control the impulses of the flesh, God's grace will be forfeited, and they will live according to the flesh and be destroyed in spirit and body.

Samson received God's great grace and was born in the world, but he could not overcome the urge of the flesh, and he could not control his conduct to a woman named "Dilla".

6. Even small sins should not be taken lightly. (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22)

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 says, “In everything count, take the good and forsake the evil in every form.”

Abandon evil in any form

Small microbes kill people

The needle thief becomes a cow thief

A bull wind enters the needle hole

7. Grace will last only when you use the grace you have received (Matthew 25:21)

You have to drink water from the well for new water to come out. If you don't drink it often, the passage of the spring water will be clogged.

The servant who received two or five talents made good use of the grace he received from his master and was praised as a faithful servant and received a double reward. You can see it.

Dear brothers and sisters, God has given grace to everyone. Some are spiritual gifts, some are material blessings, others are health blessings, and God has given grace with various talents. Do not bury the great grace you have received, but for the glory of God. I hope you will take advantage of it.

conclusion :

Grace begets grace. I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will receive greater grace by keeping grace well and sharing it.
