How to spend the New Year holidays
How should I spend the year-end and New Year holidays? (Philippians 3:12-14)
At this time of year every year, everyone becomes serious and becomes a philosopher. Looking back on the years that have passed, there are only regrets and regrets. Still, everyone has a heart to end the year well and prepare for a hopeful new year. You cannot take on the new without throwing away the old. How can we contain God's blessings when our hearts are full of sin, our thoughts are full of dirty desires, and our pockets are full of dirty desires?
First, clear the past. Isaiah 43:18 says, “Remember the former things, and do not consider the things of the past.” In order to receive God's great blessings, we must clear the past without being caught up in or clinging to it. There are two main types of sins we commit. Let's repent and receive forgiveness for all our sins before God (disobedience to the Word, holy water X, tithing X, sin of hiding glory, and shame on the cross of Jesus). “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). If you thoroughly confess and repent, all will be forgiven. Please believe in this promise. Confess the sins you have committed against people (sin against husband, wife, friend, parent, child, friend, neighbor, sin in word and deed) and be forgiven. All our sins are forgiven through the blood of Jesus. However, if you commit sins with your hands, feet, and mouth while living in the world, you must wash them. I pray in the name of Jesus that you will confess your past sins before the year is over, be forgiven, and be forgiven.
Second, we must forget the past. At the end of life, the apostle Paul confessed that even though he was old and in prison in Rome, he forgot what was behind in order to grasp what was in front (Philippians 3:12-14). The burdens, the loss of money, the wrong purchase, everything should be forgotten. Everyone makes mistakes. Neuroses and schizophrenia patients are usually a disease brought on by the devil, and these diseases are said to be caused by the inability to forget unpleasant memories of the past. If you forgive, you can forget everything. Forgive me! On the other hand, I want you to quickly forget what you did well. Did you see the basketball players standing there staring with joy after scoring a goal? He soon forgets and runs to defend. No matter how good you are, if anything gets in the way of the new year, forget it! We don't think we have caught it yet.... Let's look at the prize of the calling and run towards the goal!
Third, prepare a vessel for tomorrow's blessings. In 2 Kings 4:1-7, when the wife of a certain prophet's student came to Elisha to solve the problem of having to send her two young sons as slaves because she could not pay her debts, Elisha told her, "Prepare an empty vessel." did. And when Elisha anointed, oil came out as much as the empty vessel was prepared. How can I prepare an empty bowl? Repent of all shameful things before God and people, and prepare an empty vessel of clean blessings! Do you want to receive the blessing of being filled with the Holy Spirit? Confess your sins before God and ask for forgiveness! Do you want to receive material blessings? Repent for not tithing! Do you want to receive the blessing of the couple? Repent for the things that the husband did to his wife! Also, please write the prayer requests for the vows of the whole family on the thank-you offering envelope during the Songgu-Young-Sin service. I will also pray for the clergy. It is my job to prepare the vessel, and God does the filling of the empty vessel. I pray in the name of Jesus that you come before God at the Songgu-Young-Sin worship service, cleanse all sins, and start 2011 with God's blessing.
