How to unravel the title

Contents

All battles and wars in the world are caused by 'no'. During the World Cup in Germany, there was an incident where a French player, Zidane, got angry and headed the opponent's chest. Because he couldn't stand the insulting remarks of his mother and sister as prostitutes. In the end, Zidane was sent off and France lost to Italy.

Can't we live without anger? Of course, not all anger is bad. Because there are also righteous oars. But the results of the oars are always terrifying. We fear the wrath of men, but we fear the wrath of God even more. When God is angry, no one can stand before him. Psalm 76:7 “Who will stand before you when you are angry once?”

So, how can you unravel the oars?

I want you to think about it in the story of Gideon in the text.

When the Midianites invaded Israel, God told Gideon to defeat Midian with 300 warriors. And with the help of God, Gideon achieved a great victory. Most of the Midianite army, which had been driven out after death, fled to the hill country of Ephraim. At this time, the people of Ephraim who lived there joined the war. After slaughtering the Midianite captains Oreb and Zeeb, the Ephraimites complained greatly that they did not call Gideon when they went to fight the Midianites (verse 1). At this time, the text says that the wrath of the Ephraimites, who were angry at Gideon's answer, was relieved. What made them loose their oars?

1. Gideon speaks humbly.

To the angry Ephraimites, Gideon said, “Will the works I have done now compare with what you have done?” (verse 2). This is the wisdom of unraveling. If you raise your voice at the angry person the same way, you will go all the way there! You die and I die!! But humility is the panacea. Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, there comes reproach, but with the humble there is wisdom.” Proverbs 15:1 says, “A gentle answer turns away wrath.” La,” he says.

It is the same in the presence of God. Humble yourself before God. Then we believe that God will show mercy and exalt us. Even in his wrath he will lay down his rod and bind up his wounds. True repentance is being humble. Repentance without humility is not repentance. That is why James commanded, “Humble before the Lord, and the Lord will exalt you” (James 4:10).

Politician Benjamin Franklin is known for being inclusive and humble. He had a teacher whom he respected. However, to enter the master's house, the door was low, so he could not enter unless he bowed his head. One day, Franklin was visiting his master's house and on the way back, he bumped his head against the door. At this time, the master said: “Hey, keep your head down. If you live in this world, you will encounter many things. But if you keep your head down, there will be no bumps.” It is said that Franklin later made humility his political philosophy. I pray that you will be humble before God or people!

2. Gideon acknowledges the other and speaks.

When Gideon was angry with the Ephraimites, he spoke words of acknowledgment. “Aren’t the last grapes of Ephraim better than the first grapes of Abiezer?” (Judges 8:2) The grapes the last ones (September grapes) are sweeter than the first ones. We've only just started and you've finished well, so I'm saying you're the best. Gideon recognized the other person's good points by highlighting them. People are the happiest when they are recognized and the most painful when they are misunderstood. please admit it

It is very easy for a person to be a friend or an enemy. No matter how good a word is, if you keep saying it wrong, you will become distant. sluggishness. But there is a warm warmth where it is acknowledged and praised. Let's become a "warm church that embraces God's heart..." Let's achieve a heaven where we acknowledge and exalt each other.

3. Meditate on Jesus to relieve your wrath

The anger of others can be angered with words of humility and kindness. But what about the anger inside me? Meditate on Jesus. In order to break down the barriers... Meditate on Him who took up the cross to bring up the two enemies. When anger rises... Is it Jesus and there are people who have nothing?... When you get angry... You have little faith! Sanctification is to meditate on Jesus in that moment! The devil keeps making us meditate on sad things, things that have been harmed, and words. He grinds his teeth and only seeks an opportunity to get revenge. There is no need to learn how to meditate on the Bible. You just need to meditate on the Word of God, just like when you can't sleep when you are angry and meditate on that person and that day. If you meditate on the cross, you will discover the love of God. At this point, the tightly closed door of anger will open.

Seong-soon Lee, well known as the lynx, was a powerful collaborator with Kim Doo-hwan and Lee Jeong-jae. Kim Doo-hwan and Lee Jung-jae also recognized him as an older brother... The person who killed 40 Japanese thugs by himself, but was caught in Lee Jung-jae's trap and beaten up and held a grudge, the person who sharpened the sword of revenge! However, he met Jesus through his faithful wife (Kim Tae-ryun), and he became a man of faith who forgave his enemy Lee Jung-jae by giving up his pistol to the church. It was the cross of Jesus that set his wrath away. The love of Jesus melted the door bars of a strong heart.

Dear saints,

Our Lord avenged God's wrath against us, sinners, by giving Himself as a propitiation sacrifice on the cross. Now let us also lay our anger down in front of the cross. And I pray that you will taste the peace and heaven of spirit that the Lord gives you. Let's remember Be humble when anger arises. Recognize and elevate your opponent And let's meditate on Jesus on the cross. So, I pray that you will always taste and enjoy God's love and peace to become a heart, family, and church.
