Content Ten righteous people (Genesis 18:22-33)
Genesis 18:16-33 and 19 record the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. God promised Abraham that he would destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, which were extremely corrupt. Abraham pleaded. “Will you destroy both the righteous and the wicked? If there were 50 righteous people in that city, would you nevertheless destroy them along with the wicked?” 45/ 40/ 30/ 20/ 10... But there were no ten righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah. How much Sodom and Gomorrah had fallen (Genesis 19:1-22). When the angel visited Lot's house, the people of Sodom and Gomorrah tried to rape the angel. Also, Lot told his daughters and sons-in-law about God's judgment, but they considered it a joke. God judged Sodom and Gomorrah terribly by raining down sulfur and fire. The reason why Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed is first, because of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah, and second, because there were no ten righteous people.
What will this age be like in the eyes of God today? The Republic of Korea is a country established by the blessing of God and the blood of Christians. My heart aches when I look at the depravity of this earth today. Moral and ethical corruption is painful, but the Republic of Korea is in crisis due to ideological corruption. What Communism hates the most is Christianity. Until now, Christianity has been fighting communism and defending the country. So, leftists in South Korea are intent on thoroughly attacking and destroying the church. We must defend liberal democracy amidst this turbulent ideology. Even if the country is evil and corrupt, we should not only criticize but love. First, because it is the land that God created and loved. Second, it is because it is the place where Jesus Himself came in a human body to save us. Third, it is because it is a place where the Holy Spirit is moving, influencing and working even now.
