If you lose one title/Luke 15:1-7

If you lose one content/Luke 15:1-7 Rev. Kiho Um

There are three parables in Luke 15. These are the parable of the lost sheep, the parable of the lost silver coin, and the parable of the lost son. However, these parables have one thing in common. First, the focus is on the lost. The shepherd was only interested in finding the lost sheep, the woman scoured the house for the lost money, and the father waited for the lost child to return. Also, its value is lost when it moves away from where it should be. The safest place for a sheep is in the arms of the shepherd. The moment you step out of the shepherd's arms, you will get lost, wander through the valley of the shadow of death, and be harmed by wild beasts and robbers. Money is valuable when it is in the owner's pocket. Money lost and thrown to the ground is burned with garbage, rusted, or trampled on by people's feet. Eventually, it ceases to function as the value of money. A son can be happy when he lives with his father. A child who disobeys his father's will and leaves the house is the prodigal son. They are wandering, depraved, vain, debauched, and needy. In the end, they become pigs and die of hunger.

Again, they lost one equally. One sheep and one son, Don. I tried to find the same. The shepherd who lost his sheep tried to find the sheep, the woman who lost money tried to find money, and the father who lost his son yearned for his son. And they found everything they were looking for. The owner's love for the lost sheep made him find the lost sheep, and the woman's earnestness for a lost drachma made him find the lost money. A father's boundless love for a child who had gone home made him find his lost son as well. So they were equally delighted. The shepherd rejoiced more with the one lost and found than the ninety-nine sheep that are well in the pen. The hostess, who found the drachma, called the neighbors and had fun with them. When the father found his son, he hugged him, kissed him, put a ring on him, changed him into fine clothes, put on new shoes, and slaughtered the fattened calf and gave him a feast of joy. Today, through the parable of the lost sheep, I will look at some characteristics of the sheep and what the Lord, our Shepherd, is trying to tell us.

is a positive characteristic

A sheep is an animal that can never live alone. A shepherd must protect, guide, and lead. This is because sheep have no power to keep their recruits or lives safe on their own. It has no sharp teeth or claws, and its short legs make it impossible to run away quickly. It is an extremely incompetent animal that cannot resist even if a ferocious beast attacks and devours itself. Moreover, even though they are in a dangerous area where wild beasts live, not only do they not know how terrifying the place is, they also lose their way because they do not have the ability to return to their own path. So the sheep fall off the cliff, and the wounded is what happens when they leave the shepherd.

Sheep are also susceptible to infectious diseases. In particular, sheep are vulnerable to swarms of flies and scabies, and if the shepherd does not treat them, they die. So the shepherd cannot leave the sheep, and the sheep cannot live without the shepherd. For a sheep without a shepherd, there is only death. Also, sheep are not active animals. Sheep are not the kind of animals that find and drink water on their own, forage and eat, and exercise properly. With the guidance of the shepherd, after eating grass, you need to exercise for a while to digest it, but you will fall asleep and fall asleep immediately. So the shepherd deliberately puts one or two goats among the sheep. The goats recklessly support the sheep with their horns, and the sheep will run away from the goats because they will be seriously injured on the day they support them. While being chased and chased, the sheep will exercise, and then blood circulation and digestion will improve, making them a healthy sheep. However, if the goat becomes too violent and riots and takes over the sheep and the sheep is seriously injured or killed, the shepherd has no choice but to pull the goat out of the sheepfold and drive it away. As a result, the goat wanders through the wild wilderness and becomes food for wild beasts.

Also, sheep are bothered by the protection of the shepherd. Especially when the shepherd leads them to green pastures and feeds them. At this time, the sheep want to do what they want, so they fall from the flock and go to a place where there is no shepherd. The shepherd then pulls the sheep's neck by the handle of the staff. If you do this several times and it doesn't work, it is said that in front of all the sheep, they put the sheep on their knees and break the leg bones without mercy. Then realign the leg bones and place a wooden plank on them. This is because the sheep dislike the protection of the shepherd and, if left alone, will soon be eaten by ferocious animals.

Dear saints, God is our shepherd. He is our sheeplike Shepherd to guide, protect, and watch over us forever. He is the faithful Shepherd who laid down his life for us as sheep, and he never disappoints those who believe in him and follow him. Therefore, I pray that all of you will be fully trusting in our Lord Jesus, who is the Shepherd, and trusting that our Lord will guide you on the difficult path of life.

Let's talk about goats

In Ezekiel 34:18-19, what goats do are recorded in detail. It is wrong for the goats to take good food from the sheep and eat them, but they regard it as a small matter, and rather trample the sheep's food. Also, after drinking the clear water, they polluted the rest of the water to prevent other sheep from eating it. Even though he gained and ate as much as he could and gained weight and became healthy because of his appearance, he underestimated it by saying, ? ate and drank.??I am not satisfied with everything and there are many complaints and dissatisfaction. The ?ood form??here refers to the word of grace. No matter how good the goats eat, instead of giving thanks, they continue to spend their years with grievances and prevent other sheep from eating good food. But God said, ? judge between sheep and sheep, and between rams and goats??(Ezekiel 34:17).

In Matthew 25:31 and below, we see the judgment that will take place when Jesus returns. Our Lord will come as Judge on the last day. Our Heavenly Father has delegated all authority to judge to our Lord. At that time, all people who were born and lived and died on this earth will be strictly divided into sheep and goats, and sheep here refers to people who have sincere faith. In the name of the Lord, they fed the hungry, gave them something to drink when they were thirsty, welcomed strangers, clothed the naked, cared for the sick, visited and comforted and helped those imprisoned for their sins in the world. Moreover, they do not even remember any good deeds they have done. The Lord has prepared for them eternal life in heaven as a spiritual body. The Lord, who showed the hope of heaven through the Holy Spirit and made it bear fruit with thanksgiving and praise, will be rewarded with the crown of righteousness and will inherit the kingdom prepared from the foundation of the world.

However, goats refer to those who have received the Lord in their words, but do not have sincere faith. They left the hungry by their side, but gave no food to the thirsty, did not bring in the strangers, and when naked they did not clothe them, when they were sick and in prison they did not look after them. These are very selfish people who have done nothing for Christ and their suffering neighbors. In this way, to those who have nothing to do with God, on the day of the final judgment, the Lord will say, ?epart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.??That last day of judgment will be the most dreadful day and the most painful day.

Dear saints, So now we must go to the side of the weak, the poor and the poor as He did with them. Remembering that Jesus loved us by sacrificing His body unconditionally, we should do good deeds without expecting anything in return with unsparing love for our neighbors. I hope that you will be happy to show mercy to your neighbours and to be a giver of what you have.

expect blessings

The Lord clearly guarantees the life of the sheep. The sheep who have Jesus Christ as their shepherd are saved, go in and out, and find food for life. You are led to green pastures and still waters, and you are always watching over and comforting me with your staff and staff. Therefore, I hope that you can expect blessings in the Holy Spirit, think of gratitude, and live positively with grace and joy. The Holy Spirit wants to give abundant blessings to those who follow Him completely. Therefore, please open your heart wide and receive the Holy Spirit and expect blessings with faith. I bless you all who walk with the Holy Spirit, pray endlessly, and confess with your mouth that the Holy Spirit has blessed you. Then the door of blessing will be opened in the Holy Spirit, the path of blessing will be widened, and you will surely succeed. We believe that you will prosper in the environment, fill us with life abundantly, and repay you with glory that shines like a star on the day of judgment.

Above all, I hope that you will be loyal and zealous to find the one lost sheep. In any case, with the Lord's endless love, mercy and compassion, let us go out in search of the lost sheep. May you have the dedication to give your life to find the lost sheep. And I pray that all of you will go to the side of the sick and the weak, the poor and the naked, and become practical helpers with the Gospel. Then, I believe that the wonderful grace and blessings of the eternal God will come upon your life, and you will be filled with the power and work of the Holy Spirit.
