It's not all about making a decision.

Word: 1 Samuel 7:1-9, 18-29
There are times when a person makes a strong decision in life through a certain occasion.
It is true that it has a large tendency in life in general, but what are the turning points from a religious standpoint, such as being born again? change or something? It will completely change that person's life.
So what about seeing a lot of young people?
** It is true that you decide to give your life to God before God and try to live that way.
ex) Seowon, etc...
But what's the problem?
** It means that not everything will go the way you decide.
It is true that when we receive grace, we make decisions. But the problem is that you have to have the skills that fit that.
It is not possible to do all of God's work only with determination.
Because sometimes God doesn't want to go ahead with that matter.
That is today's word.
First, even grand plans must fit into God's heart.
1) What was David's training that started as a nameless shepherd?
** Now, I have been blessed to the extent that I have established myself as a king who rules over Israel as one.
It is only 10 km from Bethlehem, where he grew up as a shepherd, to Jerusalem, where he lives as the king of Israel.
A quick way to go?
** David took 20 years to go.
2) For the long period of 20 years, God protected and protected David's life as a fortress, along with a place of refuge for David.
** For David, the existence of God is more than gratitude.
It is true that even an animal is kind to its owner when it receives favor.
so! From David's point of view, of course, it is true that he wants to do something to God who has guided his life.
3) The concrete manifestation of this is “the house where God dwells.”
** David's grand plan is revealed to God through God's prophet Nathan.
Nathan's reaction to David's plan?
** “The Lord is with the king, so go and do whatever you say, as you have planned.” He said that it was a good thing in David's plan and blessed him.
But! What can we learn from Nathan?
** Even if the Prophet makes a decision because he likes his own opinion, he should have the attitude to ask God once again.
4) Nathan accepted David's heart with a joyful heart, and we see that he asks God for this.
** What is the life of a saint?
In some cases, even if it touches my heart and makes my dedication, I need to pray again about God's response to my dedication.
The Prophet Nathan had a good positive attitude.
** But what if the consequences of a positive attitude cause you to be overjoyed or emotionally swept away?
You need to know that you are meant to react without immediate judgment.
From Nathan's point of view?
** David's decision is not worth reconsider.
If you are going to build a house for God, what could be better than this? will do
But God stopped Nathan that night.
** Because God viewed David's proposal from a different perspective than Nathan.
5) We should be curious here.
**Why should a prophet be prevented from preparing for God in good will? will do
What time is it today?
It is true that disobedience, negligence, and inertia are spreading like a plague among God's people.
** To David who said he would live hard for God?
Did you say "no"?
No matter how great and grandiose a man may have made for God!
** We need to realize through prayer that God is a huge hindrance to what He is doing for us.
6) Nathan learns an important fact while praying with God.
* It is not that man builds a house for God, but that God builds a house for man.
* David You are not working for me, I am working through you, who is David.
* It is not that many people are focused through you, but that you have to make God's work by being focused on God.
* The kingdom of David is not the kingdom of David just because it is visible, it is my kingdom.
* God is the one who has been doing well without a home.
Do you know David's heart? It was not David himself who made David what he is, but God.
God never asked David to build a house, nor did he say that he needed a house.
** If you want to build a house? that I build it myself.
Why ! It is because you have guided everything yourself so far.
7) What was the cause of Saul's failure?
** What God is doing?
The point is that Saul himself was going to do it, and David, who saw it from the side, was the one who witnessed it firsthand.
By the way! Will you step back on that train? “God asks”
[ apply ]
** It is not that everything happens when I make up my mind, but that everything happens only when God allows it.
** The country, the church, the family, and my life must be allowed by God, but only what you put your mind to and make up your mind to do.
What was David's time of refuge?
** His heart was filled with dependence on God, but what can we find in David's heart in today's sermon?
God knew that there was only David's heart.
David himself was not sensitive to changes in his heart and behavior.
** people? Don't forget that you don't know yourself too much.
David was unwittingly trying to see his power in place in a “living of success”.
“I live in a royal palace of cedar, and the ark of God is still in the veil.”
Nathan? Hearing the voice of God, through Nathan, God?
** Know that human beings have done nothing for you.
Second, get on your knees and tell God.
1) Looking at 2 Samuel 7:18?
“King David went into the tabernacle and sat down before the Lord…”
** You should know that it is not important that a person succeeds, but that the attitude to be obedient even in a successful situation is important.
David now?
** Than when he killed Goliath, more than when he acknowledged Saul, more than when he brought the ark to Jerusalem!
It is more important to kneel before God now.
2) David's life is in a state of complete mental and physical perfection.
** Look at David who has a solid and strong body, keen intellect and judgment, an attitude of fervent faith through worship and obedience, and rises to the stage of maturity through trials, and is respected by all the people!
When I became a king down king!
** What did God require of David?
Like the kings of neighboring countries!
Will he become a foolish king who lives for his success and pride of power?
Or will he become a king who has received the wisdom of God?
That's right, at a crossroads.
3) Will you become a tyrant who enforces only his will?
** Will you become an arrogant king wielding only power?
Will you become a cruel king who treats his subordinates as objects and accessories for himself?
Like King Saul! Will he try to treat the God who has made him king as an aid to his kingship?
The choice is ours again, King David.
David? We must imitate the fact that we stopped everything and bowed our knees to God.
4) David laid down his authority and initiative as king before God.
** David had a plan for God with what he had, but he put it down according to God's decision.
We will all think our decisions are decisions that please God.
But sometimes even for God?
**Remember that there are times when you really have to let go.
Third, God must work.
1) What should we consider first?
** There are times when “doing something” is far more important than “doing” something for God.
Do not forget that God is the beginning of all worlds, the center and the end of all that human beings perceive.
** What are the mistakes we make in life?
When things are going well and there are no ups and downs in life, there are times when we fall into the fact that the beginning and center of this life is ‘I’, so we forget the existence of God or ignore God’s opinion.
2) We must not forget that David entered God's presence from his own center to God's center by kneeling before God.
** You should know that you listened very carefully and seriously to the words of God through Nathan.
We should get a great realization that we have bowed our knees before God and returned the sovereignty to God to work.
3) Remember the confession of verses 28-29.
** “Your word is true.”
It's not like I'm planning everything.
Think of the greater will of God.
Don't forget that what I think has its limits.
