It is God's will to be healed.

Contents

Psalm 103:1-5 It is the will of God to be healed.

But this leper, ready to die, suddenly jumped out in front of Jesus and a large crowd. And he fell on his face before the Lord and said, "Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean." This leper knew that the Lord had the power to heal his leprosy, but he did not know whether it was the Lord's will for the leper to be cured or not. It is like saying that many people today know that God has the power to heal me, but do not know whether it is the Lord's will for me to be healed.

At this time, the Lord clearly revealed His will. “Be cleansed, I will.” And when he laid his hands on him, his leprosy was instantly cleansed. Ladies and gentlemen, what we can see from this is that being healed is clearly the will of the Lord. Therefore, today we will share grace together under the title "It is the will of God to be healed."

1. God is a God of healing.

Ladies and gentlemen, the number of the Israelites when they left Egypt is estimated to be about 3 million. Out of these 3 million people, do you think there are about how many real patients other than a simple cold? If 1% were patients in need of treatment, it would be around 30,000 patients. And if these 30,000 people were patients, there would have been quite a few transportation facilities and medical facilities to take care of them. But what did the Israelites do with all these sick people?

The Bible clearly states that they brought silver and gold, and none of them was weak. Gentlemen, what kind of lie is this that there was not one weak or sick among the three million Israelites? Think about it. Imagine that we live in the city of Calgary, where there are about a million people, and each hospital doesn't have a single patient. It is truly an incredible miracle. In other words, God took great care of the health of the people of Israel when they were on the verge of exodus, so that no single sick person occurred.

God, who protected the health of the Israelites in this way, said to them: “If you obey the word of the LORD your God, do what is right in my sight, and obey my commandments and keep all my ordinances, then I will not bring upon you one of all the diseases that I have brought upon the Egyptians. I am.” (Exodus 15:26)

In the original Hebrew, 'I am the Lord who heals you' is called 'Jehovah Rapha'. 'Jehovah Rapha' means 'Jehovah Physician'. In other words, our God has revealed himself, "I am the doctor who heals you when you are sick." It is also said in today's text. “He who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, crowns you with kindness and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103). :3-5)

Ladies and gentlemen, our God is well aware that when a human being, a creature, becomes ill, life becomes very difficult. Therefore, God wants His children to live in good health and to heal them when they get sick. Therefore, when I was ill, I went to God as a doctor and said, "God, I am ill. Please heal me." What you are asking for is biblical, not superstitious.

The Bible speaks of God's healing: “The LORD sustains me in a sick bed of weakness, and heals all of his ailments.” (Psalm 41:3) “For you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with its healing rays; I will leap like a calf from the stall.” (Malachi 4:2) Dear friends, our Heavenly Father is the best doctor in the world. You are one of the names. There is no disease that cannot be cured. Would you like to try it together? "My father is the best doctor." Amen!

2. Healing is at the heart of the gospel of Jesus.

Jesus preached the gospel to people, taught, and healed the sick. Healing was one of the most important things the Lord was doing. About 600 years before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah prophesied about Jesus the Messiah. "Surely he has borne our afflictions and carried our sorrows, but we thought that he was chastised, struck by God, and afflicted. He was pierced for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. By his chastisement we have peace; by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:4-5).

Gentlemen, Jesus truly, that is, truly took our sufferings, that is, our diseases, and bore our sorrows. Everyone, don't you know those who have been sick? How painful is it to be sick? How worried and sad are you? Moreover, living in a foreign land here is not easy. How difficult is it to get sick? But the Bible clearly testifies that Jesus took the burden of your sickness and the accompanying sorrow and pain in our place.

How great is this prophecy? And Jesus was beaten 39 times by the soldiers in Pilate's court, minus one out of forty. Jesus' back was torn and blood shed. Every time the flesh is torn, the Bible says: “By his wounds you are healed.” In other words, Jesus and the grace of healing are at the heart of the gospel that cannot be separated only through separation.

Jesus also commissioned his disciples to do this ministry of healing. The Bible testifies to this. “Jesus called the twelve disciples and gave them power to cast out unclean spirits and to heal all diseases and infirmities.” (Matthew 10:1) “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons, free of charge. Matthew 10:8 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will pick up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; They will lay their hands on people and they will recover” (Mark 16:17-20).

3. What must we do to be healed?

First, we must clearly understand that being healed from disease is not a superstition, but the grace of Jesus' atonement and that God wants it. The Bible says: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32), and the prophet Hosea said, “My people perish for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). Just as it is natural for a doctor to cure diseases, it is natural for God as a doctor to heal diseases. And since Jesus bore the sickness for us, we have the right to be set free. You must know and believe this for sure.

People think and say this. "Will the Lord really cure this disease? This disease is very difficult to cure. The doctors also said that this disease cannot be cured. They said it was an incurable disease." But we must know that the Lord has the power to heal those ailments. Everyone, John 1:3-4 says, "All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made." In other words, the Lord is the Creator of all things, and what can the Creator do? I bless you for knowing and believing that you and me today can also be cured.

Ladies and gentlemen, we believe that healing comes through faith in Jesus even today. If you lay your hands on the sore spot in faith and pray, I believe that Jesus' healing will come to you today. If we have this kind of faith, the Lord tells us: "It shall be done according to your faith." "Your faith has saved you."

Dear brothers and sisters, we must not get sick in this foreign land. If you are sick or sick, you must come to the Lord as a doctor and be healed. I pray that you will be healed, your worries and sorrows will disappear, and your life will be energized. I pray that you will serve the Lord with joy in this foreign land as healthy as a calf from a stall jumping for joy.
