You must keep the basics (Numbers 14:1-9)

Basics that shine in disaster

For the past month, we have been watching scenes like horror movies day after day in which black waves with a maximum height of 15m and a speed of 6000km/h engulfed the Japanese archipelago caused by an earthquake in the sea. Even though earthquakes and tsunamis are unimaginable disasters, it is said that the damage will increase exponentially as radiation is leaked from the explosion to the nuclear power plant.

There is growing concern that the sea near Fukushima will become a sea of death due to the discharge of radioactive coolant, which is contaminated with highly toxic plutonium and cesium. The public opinion of the world praises the Japanese for showing a mature sense of order everywhere, without weeping or blaming them even in the midst of such a devastating disaster.

As I watched this, I personally felt eerie beyond respect. Summarizing the strengths of Japanese people, the first thing that leaves the strongest impression on those who have come into contact with Japanese is “Hitoni Meiwaku Kakenaide! It is called the way of life expressed in horses. Also, it was clean and tidy, a sense of order, and excellent ability to create beyond imitation.

I believe that God has already given the Korean people superior abilities than the Japanese people. So, I think that economic growth and democratization were achieved simultaneously in the shortest time in the world. The problem is that, depending on what words and directions we interpret, our abilities may gradually be revealed and we may achieve heaven, or, conversely, our abilities may gradually weaken and we may achieve hell. Through the text, I hope that you will receive God's teachings on formulas and words to interpret all situations so that you can bear the world and achieve the kingdom of heaven on this earth.

The crossroads of heaven and hell on this earth

After the Israelites had left Egypt, they stayed at Mount Sinai, passed through the wilderness, and arrived at Kadesh-Banaah, where they sent spies. As you know, when the 10 spies gave a negative report, the people began to weep loudly. All the people of Israel complained to Moses and Aaron with one accord. “It would have been better if we had died in Egypt or in the wilderness. Why does the LORD lead us to this land to be killed by the sword? My wife and children will be taken captive. I'd rather go back to Egypt."

Eventually they said, “Let’s get Moses down, pick a new leader, and go back to Egypt!” There was a consensus of opinion. But Joshua and Caleb, who returned from spying out the land of Canaan, tore their clothes, saying to the people, that it was wrong.

“The land we went to spy on is a very good place. If the Lord has mercy on us, he will lead us to that land. He will give us a land fertile enough to overflow with milk and honey. Do not betray Jehovah. Do not be afraid of the people of the land. They are like our rice. They have no barriers, but the Lord is with us. Please do not be afraid of them.”

The difference between choosing heaven and hell

As a result, only Joshua and Caleb entered the land of Canaan, and the remaining ten spies and all the Israelites who heard them died in the wilderness. We also have the land that God has given us. Please keep in mind that the characteristics of those who occupy the land are those who interpret and speak and proclaim like Joshua and Caleb. Let me compare those who entered Canaan with those who died in the wilderness.

First, those who entered are interpreting future events on the basis of God's grace that has been given so far. However, the people who died in the wilderness do not remember the graces given in the past, but only think about the problems of the present and the future. That's why people get scared and complain about the words that people subjectively interpret and deliver.

These complaints have spread to the people of Israel more powerfully than the virus that has killed cattle, pigs, chickens or ducks with foot-and-mouth disease these days. Joshua and Caleb are the God who parted the Red Sea from the Exodus! God who helped us march in the wilderness without dying! I interpreted the present situation and future on the basis of grace so far that if that God only grants grace, he will lead us to that land and give us a fertile land that overflows with milk and honey.

Do you want to become more and more heavenly? Please interpret the present hardships and future problems on the basis of the grace you have received so far. Do you want to become more and more hellish? Please erase all the grace you have received so far and consider the current hardships and obstacles. Which one to choose is up to us. Which direction are you holding your life arrow?

Second, the people who went into Canaan were afraid of God, but those who died in the wilderness were afraid of people. Joshua and Caleb earnestly said to the Israelites, “Do not betray the Lord. Do not be afraid of the people of the land. They are like our rice. They have no barriers, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them.”

But the people who died in the wilderness said, “The Amalekites lived in the region of the Negev, the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites lived in the mountainous region, and the Canaanites lived by the sea and by the Jordan River. The powerful nations already occupied Canaan. Even the descendants of Anak found in Canaan seemed to be descendants of that famous giant, the Nephilim.” By presenting and accepting a statement that had no basis, he fell further down the road to hell.

Saints! Those who are afraid of people will wander in the wilderness and live and die like hell, and those who do not betray God and live to please God will gradually build up the kingdom of heaven. Hallelujah!

Which one are you?

A long time ago, I did research on real estate auctions and closing churches. What I have learned after studying for over two years is that houses that are destroyed by auctions or churches that are closed have a common feature. It is, first of all, that the feeling is gloomy and unmanageable. However, even in the same situation of being auctioned off, the people who planned a better road as a result had a warm feeling, and there was a characteristic that cleaning and minor maintenance were not changed.

The church was also a pioneer church, and even if the church was forced to close, the church that cleans and thoroughly manages even the smallest things has finally been revived. So, in the past, when our church was also subjected to auctions and public auctions, there were no reasonable measures to take, and even when there was no possibility, we cleaned more diligently, and even cost money to maintain and repair facilities. As a result, God gave us an alternative that we never thought of, and we were able to build a church that was bought with the blood of the Lord. Hallelujah!

In order for your life to become a paradise, what are the basics you must follow now? What do you think God expects of you?
