Learn to survive through failure!

Peter's momentary denial of Jesus is an event recorded in all four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. When the disciple Peter saw Jesus being arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, he and the other disciples fled. After a while, he became curious about Jesus' situation, so he and John sneaked into the inner courtyard of the high priest where Jesus was being interrogated. Something completely unexpected happened here. “I saw that man too with Jesus!” Peter was so shocked by this sound that he unknowingly denied knowing Jesus three times.

At this time, just as Jesus had gathered his disciples together the day before and told Peter, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” As Peter denied the Lord, a cock crowing was heard. Peter couldn't take it any longer. He pounded on the ground, clenched his chest and wept.

It is a fact that we too, like Peter, are in danger of denying Jesus if our lives are in danger or we are in a very insecure situation in the middle of our Christian life. Furthermore, He teaches us the truth that we can deny ourselves if we make a mistake even in a peaceful environment where there are no difficulties in our religious life.

Why do we fail in our faith life?

First, because they do not know that it is a spiritual warfare. In Luke 22:31-33, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded of you to sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. ) “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death” (verse 23), Peter answered confidently. As a disciple, Peter must have thought, “How can I say that I do not know Jesus? But the Lord is talking about a spiritual war that Peter did not know. He believed in his own strength, confidence, and loyalty to Jesus. In order to win the battle against Satan, diagnose your thoughts and attitude with the Word! And hold on to the clear word and act with faith!

Second, because there is no prayer.

As the Lord said in verse 40, “Pray that you may not fall into temptation,” Peter fell asleep after hearing the Lord's warning, because Jesus was not there. We should look at our problems and see if there are any weaknesses in not praying. When prayer is restored, you will gain the strength to overcome failure and the temptation will go away. Restore prayer!

Third, it's because I lost my heart in the first place.

One of the techniques of singing is a cappella. As an unaccompanied choral song, if you play the first note on the piano, sing the unaccompanied choral song, and then play the last note, a good a cappella is achieved when the accompaniment and the last note of the choral song match perfectly. Otherwise, the note is sharp or flat. You can tell.

Getting started is very important. There is a saying that the beginning is half done. But just because it starts well doesn't mean it ends well. It's very difficult to do anything well to the end. This is because the various external variables and the circumstances of the team or individual who started this work are different. But the important thing is whether you can achieve the set goal. It's a rarity in the beginning, but it's rare to see something that goes well until the end. I don't think that's where the word dragon-dusami came from. Thinking of the end when you start is a commitment to your goal. This is to not lose focus. Getting things done right the first time isn't easy, but it's also rewarding.
