Let's become a grain of wheat

Title: Let's become a grain of wheat

Bible: John 12:24

2008. 11. 9. Daytime

change - change

This was the campaign slogan of Barack Obama, who this time was elected the 44th President of the United States.

He left many new records throughout history. The biggest change among them is the fact that a black person was elected as the first president in an American society where white people ruled with absolute power.

But in today's American society, there were many rotting grains of wheat that sacrificed for many changes until a black man became president.

The first was Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. He started the Civil War to free black slaves.

At the height of the Civil War (November 19, 1863) he spoke well of that in his Gettysburg Address.

“87 years ago, our ancestors founded a new country on this earth with the ideology of freedom and devoted themselves to the belief that all human beings are born equal...

And a government of the people, by the people, and for the people must be determined that it will never disappear from this world." by the people of the people for the people

The second was Martin Luther King, Reverend.

He was a black human rights activist. But he did not seek the rights of black people by force or violence. It was an attempt to uphold the human rights of black people through non-violent non-resistance.

The 100th anniversary of the liberation of slaves (August 28, 1963) during the Washington Peace March

“I want to say this to you, dear ones.

I have a dream. In the Red Hills of Georgia, the descendants of slaves and the descendants of slave owners will sit side by side like brothers.

I have a dream. My kids don't judge people based on skin color, they develop character.

My dream is to live in a country where people are judged by June.

Now I have a dream!

I have a dream. Now in Alabama, where blatant racists and governors are talking about interference and invalidity, the dream is that the day will come when black children will be able to join hands with white children like brothers and sisters.”

And on 11.6 of 2008, the historical moment came when that dream came true. The black Barack Obama was elected the 44th president of the United States.

Dear saints,

It is because they learned from Jesus that they became a rotting grain of wheat. President Lincoln was also assassinated. Martin Luther King Jr. was also assassinated. They died and gave birth to new life.

We too must learn from Jesus this wonderful law of a rotting grain of wheat.

Jesus became a grain of wheat.

Look at today's text. Before the cross, Jesus prophesied that He would become a grain of wheat and rot to save many mankind.

Indeed, Jesus became a grain of wheat and died on the cross. And from that cross, countless souls were born with new life.

This is also one of the natural laws of God's amazing creation. If Jesus had not become a rotting grain of wheat, all mankind and us would still have to die in our sins. We have the sacrament service today. The blood that Jesus shed on the cross washed away our sins and gave us the water of life, and His crushed flesh gave us eternal life as the bread of life.

Dear brothers and sisters, I hope that we too will become a rotting grain of wheat to make our dreams come true.

1. Become the grain of evangelism that saves lives.

The Apostle Paul became the wheat of evangelism and did not rest for a moment. He preached the gospel to Asia and Rome, so that we can hear the precious gospel of life today.

Next week is the New Life Evangelism Festival. Therefore, I pray that you will become the words of evangelism in order to bear the fruit of evangelism.

2. Be the wheat of the building of the temple.

God has given us permission to build a precious temple. But this is not done for nothing. I need someone's horse to know.

This is the story of a church in Bundang. The construction of the temple is in full swing, but the donations for the building were too short. The crisis has come to stop. All the saints made their own donations. But, of course, there were the rich, but they didn't have much faith to expect.

Become a grain of wheat in the propaganda architecture of Jaesong Church. Now is the time when you need it most. Who knows if I became who I am for this time? As Esther confesses, if you die, you will die. Hallelujah!

3. Be the grain of thanksgiving.

What is God's will? always rejoice Pray without ceasing. thank you for everything is. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) We should be the eggs of thanksgiving.

Next week is Thanksgiving. How to give thanks Scripturally?

With a willing heart (not stingy or compulsion). It is giving as best as you can. I do my best to give my best. This is biblical gratitude.

The usual thanksgiving gift and the thanksgiving gift offered at Thanksgiving are different. Since it is to give thanks for a year, of course, the sincerity or the level of it should be much higher. Some churches set goals for the year. And fill it. However, I leave it to myself because I will not do it artificially, but will do my best with a voluntary heart. I believe that God will reward you with blessings according to the amount you give.

This is the law of reaping what you sow.

I sincerely pray that you will become a grain of wheat like Jesus and bear fruit 30 times, 60 times, 100 times.
