Let's Eat the Title

food culture

A person became unwell and went to the hospital. The patient asked the doctor who prescribes the medicine what foods should not be eaten. Then the doctor said. I replied, 'It's okay to eat everything, not just your age'. We say that we age as well. So when they ask your age, they ask, 'How old are you?' Although it is from the same Asian culture, in the case of Chinese people, they say 'becoming' instead of 'getting old'. The Japanese say stealing. Regarding this, according to former Minister of Culture, Lee Eo-ryeong, there are more than 3,000 languages on the planet, but Korea is probably the only people who say that they eat their age like rice.

Where do you age? I eat my heart. They say that everything in the world depends on how you make up your mind. He says he eats and feeds them too. It is said that he ate goals in soccer, and when he won the Olympics, he ate a gold medal. Our people are a unique nation that eats money, heats, and curses. Psychologically, there is a saying that you are scared and struggling. From an economic point of view, they say how much it costs. In terms of society, he says that he ate a lot of social water when he became too secular. When we talk about family, we say family, people living in our country are called people, and when we say entrance and exit gates, we always use our mouth to eat. As such, it is clear that our culture is closely related to the culture of eating. Would the phrase 'Geumgangsando after meals' come out differently?

What is even more surprising and surprising is that our ancestors already knew that eating went beyond simply filling the hungry stomach, and had a ritual culture that was the best media at the time when the living and the dead met. The food used for ancestral rites is called Jesu. In the case of herbs among these divisors, they are called three-colored herbs because they have three colors. In other words, the white-rooted bellflower symbolizes a dead ancestor, the black-stemmed fern symbolizes a living person, and green leafy vegetables such as spinach and water parsley symbolize future descendants. This means that the past, present, and future meet in this food.

eating problem

However, in the Bible, it is the fact that the fundamental problem of man begins with eating. Genesis 2:16-17 "The Lord God commanded the man, saying, From any tree of the garden you may eat freely, but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day you eat of it you will surely die." Then he said, "When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasing to the eye, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate, and gave it to her husband with her, and he also ate." The serpent that caused Eve to eat was cursed the most among all livestock and animals, and it became a cursed animal to eat dirt for the rest of its life (Genesis 3:14). Also, God tells Adam (man) that the earth was cursed because of Adam, and that Adam (man) had to toil for the rest of his life to eat the produce (Genesis 3:17). The sinless earth was cursed because of man. is. I teach the truth that my family and the area I live in may suffer because I am wrong because I have disobeyed God.

Do you want your family and the area in which you live to be peaceful and blessed? If each of you is blessed by obeying God's word, your family will prosper and the area you live in will prosper together. So, don't eat anything and eat well. There is a common saying, 'what you eat is what's left'. A teacher asked a child a question. 'There are ten apples. I ate 3 of them. Then how many apples are left?' Then the child answers. 'Three outlines' The teacher asked how there were three. At this point, the child responds: 'My mother told me that what I eat is leftovers!'

What should I eat?

God tells Ezekiel, who was taken captive to Babylon in 597 B.C., 11 years before the destruction of Jerusalem, the way the people can live. That is, take the scroll and eat it. What is that scroll? It is a scroll book in Chapter 2:9. In that book, the responsibility for the written word of God is presented in detail through Jeremiah 36:5-6. "Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, "I am out of captivity, and I cannot enter the house of the LORD. So go in and read the word of the LORD, which is written in the scroll, according to my oral tradition, and on the fast day read the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the house of the LORD; Read it also in the ears of all who have come.??Jesus said that we must eat this very word of God to live. It is John 6:35. ?esus said, ? am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.??They eat it and do not appear to be dead; whoever eats this bread will live forever.??That is, we must eat the word (the scroll) that comes out of the mouth of God.

How should I eat?

If so, how should we receive these words?

1. You need to open your mouth wide.

Psalm 81:10 says, "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide and I will fill it." But my people did not listen to me, and Israel did not want me. It is easy to say this by reminiscent of the scene in the Bible where a swallow feeds its young. How does the swallow know how to feed several young children evenly? As a result of research by ornithologists, it is not given by looking at the face or position, but in order of priority to the young with the largest mouth. Which chick was hungry was determined by the size of its mouth. In other words, the hungry cub opens its mouth as earnestly as possible to save it. Ladies and gentlemen, I hope that your mouth will be open like this when you receive the Word at this hour today.

There is a lyrics in Jeju Island folk song, 'A bird that cries in the morning cries because it is hungry, a bird that cries at night misses you. aren't we? A little baby cries when he is hungry, but also when his diaper is wet. Is it only for newborns? The same goes for adults. How many miserable people are there in the world, such as North Koreans who are still hungry and suffering from poverty? But it is not only because we are hungry that we cry. Whether in a prosperous or poor country, there are many people who cry because they need love. This is the cry we need to cry today. These are the kinds of tears that we cry because we miss the Word, weep for the Lord, and weep for the grace we have received. It is a cry that we cry because we miss the love of the Lord. Verse 2 of today's text is that word. ? will open my mouth, and he will feed me a scroll.??I sincerely hope that every hour of worship will happen such that the emptiness of our spiritual hunger is filled with the Word. To that end, what we need to do is to open our mouths wide and say Amen to the word He gives.

2. You must receive it with the center of your heart (verse 3).

In verse 3, God tells Ezekiel to put the scroll in his stomach and fill his intestines. I didn't tell you to fill it in your head. It means to fill the stomach, that is, the heart. Verse 7 warns the house of Israel that their foreheads are as hard as diamonds and their hearts are hard. So I tried not to listen. One of the differences between the living and the dead is that the living are soft, but the dead are stiff. This is a tough-hearted person. I think it would be good to have the mindset that our heart field is under construction whenever we deal with the Word. When we deal with the Word, our dull, weary, and broken hearts are healed through the Word, and it is time to expand our faith and expand our mind. The important thing is that there is no depression in the person of faith. There is only a depression of faith. The stagnation of faith, the stagnation or cessation of faith growth, that is the most severe depression. Therefore, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will blow away the recession by doing the expansion of faith.

In 2 Corinthians 6:11-13, ? Corinthians, we have been wide open to you, and we have not been narrowed in us, but in your hearts. This is the reason to expand". When you open your heart, the word will taste sweet as honey (Ezekiel 3:3, Revelation 10:9). If you understand the Word, it becomes medicine and the spirit lives. If you misunderstand and misunderstand the Word, you will get sick and live in pain.

3. If you have received it with this kind of heart, I tell you to eat now.

Matthew 26:26 says, ?s they were eating, Jesus took the bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to the disciples, saying, ?ake and eat; this is my body.??The bread and wine of the Last Supper were the last body conversation between Jesus and his disciples. As the final message, he showed us how to restore our relationship with God, who had lost our fellowship with God in Genesis through the supper of eating and drinking. By eating and drinking, the body of Jesus comes into my body, not outside me, and a unity with me is formed. This is why worship is so important. When we share the Word, we experience being one with the Lord.

Now, if you have received and ate the Word like this, what did God say next? The command repeated in verses 1, 4, and 11 of today's text is 'Go and tell the house of Israel'. Declare it, let it be known. Ezekiel was led by the Spirit of the Lord, or Holy Spirit, to Tel Abib, where the Jews were being held captive, and stayed with them, proclaiming the word of God with power.

Beloved, whenever the work of the Word is proclaimed through your mouth, I hope that countless souls can be saved. Receive the word, but open your mouth wide and earnestly receive it. I hope that you will be able to digest any word by broadening your heart and receiving the word. If you have received this, I hope you will eat the Word and become one with the Lord, the Lord of the Word. And I pray in the name of the Lord that you will go out with these words and become blessed co-workers who carry out the mission of an evangelist to testify of the gospel.
