Today's sermon is a story about a man who threw a big feast and invited guests.
The same story is also recorded in Matthew 22.
Taken together, the following configuration is possible.
A certain king defecates his son's wedding feast and sends invitations to close acquaintances
But none of those invited attended the feast.
The angry king sent his servants to find out why he had not attended.
Then I found out that those who did not attend did not attend because of the reasons they bought fields, bought cattle, and married them, as mentioned in the text. Also, in the Gospel of Matthew, he beat, insulted, and even killed the servants he had sent. But what matters is the consequences.
First, the king was furious.
In the Gospel of Matthew and the text, it is recorded that the king was angry and sent an army to catch and kill those who had killed his servants and burn the village with fire.
Rejecting and disobeying the king's invitation was a challenge and rebellion against the king.
The king knew this, and he was condemned for the violence that struck and killed the servants he had sent.
However, the important thing we need to know is that the wedding feast in the Gospel of Matthew and the text of the text is the feast in heaven and the feast of Jesus the Lamb, and it represents the worship we offer today. And the king who opened the feast and sent the invitation letter is God, the son is Jesus, and the feast is the heavenly feast, the grace we will receive through worship, these things, and those who receive the invitation refer to all of us who believe in Jesus today.
There are things you can refuse, and there are things you can't refuse. The Bible says:
“If you reject God’s invitation, there will be judgment.”
Why not turn down the king's invitation?
Because everything is there. As I said, the feast is God's
Because it is the feast of the heavenly kingdom of Jesus.
The Jews, for example, are the first to receive invitations.
But they captured the prophets and killed them, and had their son Jesus crucified.
As a result, wars have not ceased until now, they have suffered many persecutions, and will continue until the end of the world.
This fact pertains and is not limited to the Jewish people.
Even now, individuals, groups, societies, and nations who disobey God's will and reject invitations will also face the king's wrath or judgment.
In the 18th chapter of Revelation, we can see that Babylon, the great city of great power that ruled the whole world, collapsed in an instant because of God's wrath.
We also know that in the era we live in, the Soviet Union, which was a superpower, a communist country, disappeared in an instant.
However, even if everything collapses and falls, I pray that you believe that if God builds you up and raises you up, you will rise up in an instant, revive and be restored.
Dear saints!
May you exalt God the King.
I pray that you will never reject the will of the King, no matter what.
Second, it is saying, "I will compel you to take me and fill my house."
The king, who judged those who refused the first invitation, issued a new order.
Go anywhere on the street, on the hillside, or in the alley of the market, take the people you meet and force them to fill your house
So he gave orders to the servants.
This command shows how the gospel of salvation was transferred from the Jews who rejected God's invitation to salvation to the Gentiles.
The first invitation was to the chosen Jews. However, in the second case, there is no distinction between the invitees. Anyone can be invited. Therefore, the attire of the people participating in the feast was very different. So the king, the host of the feast, prepared robes for the people who were going to the banquet, and gave them to the people who came.
Guys, here's an important lesson. It is saying that when you come to church to believe in Jesus or come to church to meet Jesus, you do not have to worry or worry about your past, your actions, your present appearance, or what you are doing. The good and the bad, the man and the woman, the rich and the poor, the high and the low,
Anyone can come out believing that their sins are forgiven through the blood of Jesus and that their sins are covered with robes.
So our job is to bring anyone out and fill the church.
There are 4 ways of personal evangelism.
1. Decide on more than one person.
2. You must meet at least ten times.
3. Make a hundred phone calls.
4. Pray a thousand times.
I pray in the name of the Lord that you will be victorious with the belief that with this practice method, no matter who you are, do not fall into the target complex, and you will surely evangelize even one person.
