Let's live a life dependent on the word
content addition>
Let's live a life that relies on the Word (Luke 5:1-11)
1. Our own identity
(1) We must know who we are. Otherwise, you will wander.
(2) God knows that we are all sinners.
2. Jesus Comes to Peter
(1) Peter meets Jesus on the night he couldn't catch a single fish. Why did Jesus get into Peter's boat? Jesus chose Simon to save him and to use him as a great apostle.
(2) When we meet the Lord, there are several tests of faith that we must pass. The first test is the “substance” test. The second test is whether we obey the word of the Lord (verses 4 and 5).
3. The key to solving problems is the Word of God.
(1) Simon Peter caught a lot of fish when he obeyed the Lord's word (verses 6, 7).
(2) Jesus came to Peter as the Son of God (verse 8).
4. The life of a disciple who follows Jesus
(1) Peter completely changed his view of himself before the Lord.
(2) Peter got into the boat and left everything and followed Jesus (verse 11).
⑶ Humans live in relationships. Therefore, in such a relationship, you have to ask, "Who am I?"
5. Those who meet God receive a mission from the Lord (verses 10-11).
(1) I will become a fisher of men! (verse 10)
(2) You must go to the deep. The deep is the place where you lose your ground. The deep part refers to the life of holding on to the Word of God. Deep means a place of obedience.
From the moment I start putting Jesus on the boat of my life, everything changes.
A person's life is determined by who they meet. Just as ignorant Peter became a disciple of Jesus when he met Jesus and changed, everything in life changes for each person who meets Jesus. Our God wanted to fill the empty stomach of Peter with the word of God before filling Peter's empty stomach with fish. The empty stomach of our life wanders and fails until the word of God is filled. However, when the word of God enters our hearts and we obey it, God will give us blessings from that point on. Things happen that humans couldn't do.
