Let's not doubt the resurrection
the text is
Thomas, who followed Jesus for three years as a disciple
When the other disciples heard the news that Jesus was resurrected,
I look at the nail marks on my hands
I will not believe unless I put my hand into his side.
This is the starting background.
26- Thomas was with him, and the door was closed.
Jesus came into the room and said,
Peace be with you.
27 - He said to Thomas, "Stretch out your finger,
look at my hand and hold out your hand
Put it in my side.
So do not be unbelievers
Be a believer.
28 - Thomas confessed
you are my lord
You are my God.
29 - Jesus said to him, "Do you believe me because I
Blessed are those who do not see and believe.
When Jesus taught his disciples for three years
He said many times that He would be crucified and be resurrected.
He performed miracles and wonders in front of the disciples,
There have been times when the dead are brought back to life...
Why doubt?
1> Thomas did not believe the promise.
Matthew 16:21,17;23, 20:19, handing over to the Gentiles and reproaching him.
scourged and crucified
will rise on the third day.
When these words were being witnessed, I heard them in a voice.
I heard it passing by.
The Lord speaks with clear promises.
Thomas just sounds,
I heard it all the time.
So I became suspicious.
The words of the Bible are not just written words.
# God wrote with personal authority.
# The Bible is eternal and unchanging.
- No matter how hard Satan tries, the Bible does not change.
# The Bible must be fulfilled.
- People believe it or not, it doesn't matter.
No matter how much Satan interferes, it will be done.
I hope you will receive and believe the word of the Bible as the word given to you.
doubt is
It is a gift from the devil.
2> Thomas did not attend important events.
After Jesus suffered, the disciples were very afraid.
To the disciples who are trembling in fear
The risen Lord has appeared.
John 20:19-23 To the disciples who were trembling with fear
Peace be with you.
There was no Thomas in this place.
There was no Thomas at the time the resurrected Lord came.
It's an important place.
It's a place to get the power to live in the world,
It is a time to solve not only the problems of this life but also the problems of the next life,
really sadly there
There was no Thomas.
while a person lives
When do you think the really important time is?
Believers in Jesus
worship time,
It is to participate in worship.
Worship is worship of the risen Lord.
Please cherish the time of worship.
because
It is because we do not know when the grace of the Lord will come one day.
Written by Stephen Covey
Seven Habits of Successful People
people who are not successful
Deal with urgent tasks first, do important tasks when you have free time,
Successful people, no matter how urgent
It is the person who puts the important things first.
Look at our lives of faith.
Worship, prayer, evangelism and missionary work
It's important, but it's not urgent.
Always urgent work, making money, dating people,
I am being pushed back from taking care of family events for my relatives.
If you always do urgent things like that
There is no future.
You're missing out on something really important.
Meeting the Lord (worship)
I bless you to become a saint who considers the most important thing.
This life will be a life that moves God.
3. Thomas was an experience-oriented believer.
Thomas is an honest and realistic person.
In other words, it is a person who believes only when he touches the resurrected Lord.
But when the risen Lord came,
After showing and touching
I became a person of unshakable faith.
John 20:28 - You are my Lord
You are my God.
A definite confession.
And it didn't shake.
Thomas went far to India
He was martyred while preaching the gospel.
“Do you believe because you saw me?
Blessed are those who have not seen and believe.”
We haven't met Jesus
believe in the word,
We have never touched Jesus
He rose from the dead three days later
If you believe that you are with us today,
Please believe that that is the blessed faith.
