Let's Obey and See the Title

1. Words that begin
Ephesians 2:22 says, “You also are being built together in Jesus to become a dwelling place for God in the Holy Spirit.” Christians who are spiritually united with Jesus Christ are not perfect beings, but are being sanctified toward God according to the Holy Spirit who indwells in Jesus Christ. At the end of Genesis 30:30, there is a saying of Jacob: “The LORD has blessed you, according to my work. But at what time shall I build my house? It compares the work of raising a family and making it prosperous to building a house.
Life is too short to build a beautiful and majestic house of life. Life is too short to build a humble and shabby house. This passage is Jesus' parable of living life as building a house.
2. The words of Jesus that are different from what people say
Jesus said that everyone who hears His words and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Jesus did not say that those who hear and do His words, including the Sermon on the Mount, become successful or successful. He did not say that he became a person of character, cultured, intellectual, or master. He did not say that he would become a thinker, a moralist, a legalist, or a religious man. Such a character can be made by hearing and doing what is said and done by human designation or intuition.
Jesus was implying that His words are the words of God, which are different from the words of all human beings as well as adults. In John 7:16, it says, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me. If any man will do the will of God, he will know whether this doctrine is from God or whether I speak of my own accord. In Mark 1:27, it says, “Everyone was astonished and asked one another, saying, What is this? This is a new doctrine with authority. When they command unclean spirits, they obey them.”
They say that preaching should be easy, like Jesus' sermon, but that's not true. It is easy to think of Jesus' sermons as a rational language and listen to them from a rational level. But this attitude is wrong. If the intelligent Jewish leadership, who almost memorized the Law, or the Old Testament, had a spiritual understanding and understood Jesus’ preaching properly, they would have realized and believed that Jesus was the Messiah. He would not have been crucified as a sinner pretending to be the Messiah. Even though Jesus clearly knew that rational people came with two ears, he often said that those who have ears to hear should hear, and those who have ears will hear. Those who do not have the ears of the spirit cannot properly understand your words.
Paul was well acquainted with the doctrines of other religions, was well versed in Greek and Hebrew ideas, which are the two major Western spheres, and was a thorough leader in Judaism that was flawless in the righteousness of the law. However, the greatest intellect of that day did not realize that Jesus was the Messiah or Savior, and that Jesus' teaching was the gospel of salvation. Rather, they viewed Jesus as blasphemy and a sinner who pretended to be the Messiah, and persecuted Christians. Through the spiritual experience of meeting the resurrected Jesus on the road to Damascus, Paul realized that Jesus was the Savior and that his words were the gospel. He said at the end of 1 Corinthians 12:3 that no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
Since there is no salvation except the gospel of the Lord, the apostle Paul called all the teachings, thoughts, and ideologies of the teachers, wise men, moral gentlemen, scholars, iron men, and leaders of mankind, including saints, as elementary studies. It is not that the intellectual and religious achievements of great human beings from all walks of life are trivialized, but that it is called elementary school in the sense that there is no salvation of eternal life. In 2 Corinthians 3:6, he says, "He has also satisfied us to be servants of the new covenant, not by question, but by the Spirit, for doubt kills, but the Spirit gives life." In 1 Corinthians 2:13, he said, "We are speaking these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but by the Holy Spirit, for spiritual things are discerned."
3. The house of those who hear the word and do it, and the house of those who do not do it
Not just human prophets, saints, or teachers, but those who hear and do the gospel of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus, are wise people who built their houses on the rock.
The purpose of meeting the Lord Jesus, the purpose of worshiping the Lord Jesus, or the purpose of following the Lord Jesus must be to hear the word of the gospel, and the purpose of hearing the word of the gospel must be to do it. The ultimate purpose of all the words of God, including the words of the gospel, is to make them obey them.
However, among the church members who claim to believe in Jesus as their Savior, there are those who do not obey the words of the Lord Jesus, but see them as servants who must fulfill their will, plans, and desires. There are clergy who profess to be servants of the Lord Jesus and see it as a means by which to fulfill their ambitions, lust for water, or lust for courage. Many church members do not follow the words of the Lord Jesus, but choose arbitrarily according to their position, intellectual level, or interests, rather than being moved by the Holy Spirit. There are church members and preachers who seem to listen well to the gospel sermon, but forget it as soon as the service is over.
No matter how well you listen to the word of the gospel, if you don't put it into practice, you can't receive the miraculous grace of the word and abundant blessings, and you can't love because you haven't received anything. James 1:25 says, “He who is looking into the perfect law of liberty is not the one who hears it and forgets it, but the one who puts it into practice, and this man will be blessed in what he does.”
Only those who hear the words of the Lord Jesus and put them into practice become like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Whether you build a house of technology, a house of learning, a house of gold, a house of science, a house of art, or a house of faith, you build on the rock. “The Rock” symbolized God in the Old Testament and Christ Jesus in the New Testament. God of everlasting love, the house of life built on Jesus Christ, the Lord of eternal life, will not fall down forever.
Joseph obeyed the word and built his house on the eternal rock, whether he was a final slave, a prisoner, or when he became the prime minister of Egypt and was an economic leader to save a world dying from international famine. . Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were taken into captivity in Babylon, listened to God's word and practiced it, and they were the eternal rock, whether they were in captivity, receiving education or training in Babylon, or as governors or governors of Babylon. I built a house above it.
Their house did not fall down when it rained and the floods and the winds blew and crashed, because the plinth was laid on the rock. The house of life, built on the rock by hearing and doing the words of the Lord Jesus, will not be destroyed by clouds of sorrow, rains of sorrow, floods of afflictions, or winds of tribulation.
But whoever hears the gospel of the Lord Jesus and does not do it is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. There are also demons in the world that tempt humans with all kinds of things and lead them to destruction, so you can build a house of technology, a house of learning, a golden house, a science house, or a house of idolatry, beautiful, splendid, and magnificent. But since all the houses of life are the product of foolish people built on sand, when the clouds of sorrow fall, the rain of sorrow falls, the flood of afflictions overflow, or the winds of tribulation blow, they fall down.
Beethoven, who had an immortal reputation as a truly world-class musician, built a magnificent house as a musician, but the house of his life collapsed because it was built on sand. Beethoven was famous for sharing his fiery passion with prostitutes. After becoming deaf, he became more attracted to women, and eventually died of a sexually transmitted disease called gonorrhea. The violin virtuoso Paganini contracted syphilis while dealing with hundreds of women. Schubert, who wrote “The Unfinished Symphony,” contracted a sexually transmitted disease after being homosexual for many years and died at the age of 31. Who are the only musicians who built their home on the sand and then collapsed?
4. Conclusion
It is said that the conversation between a man and a woman before marriage is reversed after marriage.
stay! so good I thought I was going to fall out of my throat while waiting.
W: You, what would you do if I left you?
M: Don’t even dream of such a thing.
W: Do you love me?
M: Of course not. until the death.
W: Are you going to have an affair?
M: What? Why the hell are you asking that?
W: Will you love me every day?
M: Whenever I get a chance.
W: Are you going to hit me?
M: Are you crazy? Don't you have eyes like that?
W: Can I trust you?
M: Yes. W: Honey.
(“Interesting sermon humor” quoted in Onmandotgum)
I hope that all of us will hear the word of the Lord's gospel and put it into practice so that we can build our own homes as well as our own homes on the eternal rock.
