let's make up our mind
(Daniel 1:8-21)
In your life of faith, you must have your own things, and you must have your own experiences. There must be a private and secret experience with God. For an experiential life of faith, clear goals and intentions must be set. Determining the meaning is very important. If you set a will and move forward vigorously toward the goal, happiness will automatically follow, and it will be a life of blessing even before God. In today's text, we find Daniel, the man who set his mind.
What does Daniel mean?
1. He decided to sanctify himself without defilement with the king's delicacies and wine.
1 Thessalonians 4:3 says, “This is the will of God, for your sanctification.” 1 Peter 1:16 says, “It is written, “Be holy, because I am holy.” What God wants is holiness. No matter how excellent you are, you must first be sanctified. The reason many people do not succeed is because they are not sanctified. Many succumb to the threshold of success and stumble at the top. What is the cause? Because they embrace sinful habits and thoughts that eat away at the heart. You have to be brave enough to quit. Many people drop out of the middle due to worldly greed, money, and color problems. Satan knows this and attacks, so you have to manage it well.
2. I decided to pray.
Even after Daniel was taken into captivity, he lived a life of praying to God for a long time. As usual, he went to Jerusalem three times a day, thanking God and praying. He went into the lions' den for praying, but he decided to pray, and he did not give up on prayer. Prayer has power, and prayer is so important. Like Daniel, we too must make up our minds to pray. If you decide to pray and act, God will open the way and help you.
1) He moves people's hearts/verses 9-14.
God moved the heart of the eunuch, and moved the heart of the overseer set by the eunuch, so that he obeyed Daniel's proposal to reject the king's delicacies and eat vegetables.
2) He also changes the environment/verses 15-16.
God made Daniel, who ate only vegetables, healthier than those who ate the king's delicacies. No matter how good he eats, he cannot be healthy unless God protects his health. Only God protects him to be healthy.
3) He makes us superior to others / Verses 17-20.
God gave Daniel, who had set his will, to gain knowledge, to add understanding to all learning and skill, and to spiritual wisdom to understand and understand all visions and dreams. In the end, Daniel was selected by the king, and he interprets the king's dream and ascends to the position of supreme prime minister.
Organize your words. God opened the way for Daniel, who stood on God's side, made the decision of faith, rejected the king's food and wine, and kept the purity of his faith, and elevated him to become one of the best among all people. I hope that our members will also set the will that pleases God and act accordingly, so that God's work can be a life for them.
