Let's tear down the title wall

Contents

… Now you, who were afar off, are brought near by the blood of Christ in Christ Jesus. He is our peace. By making the two one, he broke down in his flesh the wall of enmity, breaking down the middle wall, and abolished the law of commandments, which made the two into one new man, and made them at peace; that he might be reconciled to He destroyed enmity on the cross, and came to bring peace to you who were far off, and peace to those who were near, so that through him we both may have access to the Father in one Spirit. Therefore, from now on you are no longer strangers and strangers, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of the household of God. You are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Christ Jesus Himself has become the cornerstone. In him, every building is joined together to become a temple in the Lord, and you also are being built together in Christ Jesus to become a dwelling place for God in the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:11-22).

Not long ago, tensions rose over the issue of segregated education for ungammed children at a public school in Seoul. There is no difference from a medical point of view, but the parents are trying to separate their children by building an iron wall, saying that they can't learn together with these ungainly children. It is the prejudice of the wrong unscientific conventions from the past blocking the barrier even among children. Now, as in the past, visible walls were not built to separate them from each other. However, if you look into this society, you can see that more barriers than in the past are separating and blocking the width and length between humans. Not long ago, in the political world, there was a dispute over hospitality in Honam and hospitality in Yeongnam. In fact, Korea is a small country, but you see the barriers of the provincial walls still stand high. There are barriers between Seoul and the countryside, between conservatives and progressives, and between south and north.

There was a dispute in a church, and I heard that Pyeongan-do and Hamgyeong-do were fighting each other. In the political world, barriers are built between the ruling party and the opposition, and within the political party, the barriers between factions, the mainstream and the non-mainstream, and the Juche and non-subject forces. Barriers between first-class, second-class, and third-class schools for students, barriers between teachers and students, barriers between workers and employers, barriers between men and women, and between older generations and new generations are very high for businesses. In this world, an invisible wall is blocking between you and me, and communication is not possible. How can we become one without breaking down this barrier? How can we live without breaking down the barriers of selfishness, prejudice, and superstition? It's a breathless world where everyone in this world builds their own walls, drills gun holes in them, and is always aiming at their opponents. It's an era where you can't let your mind go.

Even within the church, there are walls between Protestant and Old Churches and between denominations and denominations, so they are in a situation where they cannot even come and go. We cannot live any longer without this wall as it is. We must tear down this wall. What Jesus did when he came into this world could be said to be a work of healing in one word. How do I break down the wall? This Bible says that the blood of Christ, His body, and the cross broke down the barriers. What is the cross of Jesus? It is said in Romans that God sent His Son to reconcile us to God through His death on the cross, even though we were still sinners. However, God's method of breaking down the wall is for him to tear down the wall himself, saying that he must first break the wall on his side. As Christians, we must first break down any barriers on our side and live our lives.

It is the spirit of Jesus to tear down one's own wall. The attitude of a Christian is not only to break down, but to live an open life without any barriers in any case. If people are living with each other, they will have to build walls, but at that time, the wall on my side must be broken down first, and we must live without walls as much as possible. We have already broken down the wall with God with the cross of Jesus, and we who have received that grace are not willing to build a wall among ourselves. Destroying one's own walls is something that ordinary people cannot do. The person who can break down his wall first must be a person on the other side of the wall with skills several times superior to the person who builds it. This is because the original psychology of building a wall is a person who thinks that he can only protect himself by relying on a wall. Psychologically, he is a person with a sense of inferiority.

First of all, a Christian must be a person with high self-esteem and ability to be a son of God. I believe that our Christians should be people of this high consciousness. Because I am the son of God, I must first break down the wall, I must reach out my hand first, and then I must first open my heart and then tear down the wall with the pride of being a child of God. Today, in this place, let's break down walls big and small from within and live. I hope to live without any barriers again.

But if I blindly break down the wall first, wouldn't a thoughtless opponent shoot me in the chest? I have that question. There are many cases where it can be. Even Jesus died without a trace at the hands of such careless opponents. Even Jesus would never have died with a little trickery, and the disciples wouldn't have been divided over and over because Jesus didn't choose the way he wouldn't die. But Jesus did not hide under the half-wall that he had broken down because he was afraid that a bullet would hit his chest. Furthermore, if you really want to break down walls, if you really want to achieve peace, you have to be prepared for the sacrifice on the cross. The wall will not be torn down if you do not step forward, even if you are leaning on your chest, giving your life, sprinkling blood, or hanging on the cross.

If we were to break down the wall of the aesthetic child problem in the public school mentioned in the previous example, it would be that we should put our children in it. Martin Luther King, Jr., was shot to break down the barriers of racial prejudice, and Lincoln was murdered to protect the emotional barrier between North and South America. I believe that many saints and pioneers must bear the cross to break down the wall in order to make this world human beings a family of God.

I felt even more acutely in this school issue that this work cannot be done through words and statements, but only through body, blood, and cross. In other words, if the members of the church members in the area go out to study together, the problem will be solved. There is no need for the Christian Federation to issue a statement. Korea Today, this wall that puts churches and Christians in this town is trying to carry the cross with body, blood and blood for this movement, but this society and the country are struggling because they can't even break down that small wall. Where do the servants of the Lord not hide? It is said that the peacemaker is the son of God, which means that the son of God must bear the work of peace.
