Looking back on the title (Genesis 19:26)
Contents
(Genesis 19:26) Lot's wife looked back and became a pillar of salt.
Some people who are ill in their faith feel nostalgic for their former sinful lives. Such thinking becomes an evil thing that actively hinders the faith growth of believers.
This is the surest way to block the blessings of heaven.
This problem is not unique to some people who in the past have lived a life of shame and shame that cannot be revealed.
There seems to be some hard work chasing after the testimonies of those who were gangsters or prodigals in the past. It's fun to listen to, but it becomes a big obstacle that blocks prayer and the life of the Word. The sins of the past are buried on the cross, and they say that they have become a new person, recalling their sins and bringing them out, revealing the bad old self. What is important in life? Because the present life, where you forget your sinful life and start as a new person, is less pleasant to the body, do you search for and remember the old things to please your body?
1, You should live a life of patience rather than pleasure.
Past lives may have had fun and adventure, but at the same time we must not forget that there was also the misery of sinners.
Perseverance is not the only thing you need to get to heaven. Change and maturity. Abstinence from the sinful life is not everything, but spiritual growth also makes it clear that the sinful life is not suitable for life, so the old life must be liquidated. It was because there was an unthinkable misery in the life of the flesh.
(Luke 9:62) Jesus said to them, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God."
-- You must know that being unworthy of the kingdom of God is a foolish life that closes the door of heaven.
Lot's wife closed the heavens by looking back. Life is over. The wide gate of heaven was open to Lot's wife, but looking back, she closed it herself. Even the hard work of angels coming and delivering them directly was of no use to her. Lot's wife would not have just glanced back, but would have watched with longing.
Demas was a powerful man of God. Being a co-worker with Paul, the great worker, is good evidence that he was a man of heavenly privilege. Looking back will disqualify you from all qualifications.
(2 Timothy 4:10) Demas, because he loved this world, left me and went to Thessalonica, Cresces to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.
What disqualified Demas was “the love of this world.” This was the evil attraction that Demas looked back on.
It was a road blocked by the gates of heaven.
2, how not to look back
If our faith is lukewarm, we will miss our past lives.
(Hebrews 5:12-6:2) Since the time is long, you should be teachers, but you again need someone to teach you what the basics of the word of God are, and you have become unable to eat milk or solid food ( 13) For everyone who feeds on milk is a child, and they have no experience with the word. (14) Solid food belongs to those who are mature. They use their understanding, so they are trained to know good and evil. (1) Therefore, we are the beginning of the Christian way Forsake and lay the ground for repentance of dead works, faith in God, (2) baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
2:1 Therefore, putting away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander
2:2 Like newborn babies, lust for pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up to salvation.
2:3 If you have tasted the mercy of the Lord, do so.
2:4 Come to Jesus, a precious and precious living stone rejected by men, but chosen by God.
2:5 And you also, like living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house, a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Just as a running bicycle collapses when it stands, the bicycle of faith also gets sick when it rests. Here's why you should be cold or hot.
(Philippians 3:10-15) I want to know Christ, the power of his resurrection, and the partaking of his sufferings, being conformed to his death (11) so that I may somehow attain to the resurrection from the dead. (13) Brothers, I have not yet taken hold of it, but one thing I have done: forgetting what is behind and grasping what is ahead (14) toward the goal, Christ Jesus. (15) Therefore, whoever is perfected of us think this way, if you think differently about anything, God will reveal this to you as well.
If you live like this, the gates of heaven will always be open.
3, look forward and move forward
Thinking about and immersing yourself in your past way of life is what makes you completely useless.
It blocks the heavenly gates of blessing, and furthermore, even what you have received from heaven will be taken away.
(Ephesians 4:22-24) Put off your old self, which is corrupt according to the lusts of deceit, (23) be renewed in the spirit (24) who were created after God in righteousness and holiness of truth. wear people
If you are busy with the work of faith, you will hate your past life.
(Psalm 97:10) You who love the LORD, hate evil, for he preserves the souls of his saints and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
I decided to live the Lord's will I decided to live the Lord's will
I decided to live according to the will of the Lord I decided to live according to the will of the Lord I will not turn back Amen!!!!
