“What kind of person will I be in 20 years from now?

# 75% of students dreamed of a successful life and wrote specifically.

# 25% Negative life was written down and submitted. A study of their lives 20 years later yielded surprising results.

93% of those who documented their successful lives are failing their lives as they wrote // with a negative outlook

Pastor Norman Vincent Peel." It means you can be who you want to be.

What kind of person do I want to be? According to the thoughts I have, the words of my wishes, life is what it is.

How important is it, everyone, to set a will and live? Today, we too must set a will and live a life.

In today's text, there is a person who sets a will and sets a good example for living a successful life. That's Daniel. Daniel was taken into captivity in Babylon and lived his life, setting his will before God spiritually.

When the king of Babylon invaded Judea, the boys were taken captive.

# It is not shown how many prisoners were taken.

# They had to learn the learning and tongues of the Babylonians, worship idols, and eat the delicacies and wine the king has appointed.

1. It demands a change of spiritual consciousness to leave God.

2. Although he is a Jew, it aims at a change of consciousness that makes him Babylonian.

The seafood that the king of Babylon ordered was offered to idols, and he rejected it, knowing that it was a spiritual problem.

Daniel makes up his mind and asks the chief of the eunuch that he will not eat the food the king has appointed, but only vegetables and water.

Dan 1:12-13 Compare us to those who ate vegetarian food for 10 days and then ate seafood.

Dan 1:14-15 And their faces became more beautiful, and their flesh became more lustrous.

Lessons from the text

1> God gives grace upon challenging faith.

Daniel is a captive to Babylon. To refuse the king's seafood and seafood is a life-threatening belief.

It is Daniel's faith that does not look at the environment, does not look at people, but only looks at God.

God on that belief

1) 1:9 He moved the eunuch's heart. - Man's heart must be moved by God. (Do not judge the customer.)

2) Let them eat 1:12 vegetarian food and compare it = It is a challenging faith that trusts completely. (He who lives by faith ascends to heaven)

Is it more important to have God's grace than what a person eats?

2> A person who overcomes physical temptation can overcome spiritual temptation.

Being a person with a physical body, we do not experience trials in spiritual growth from the beginning.

Physical Tests - Keeping the Lord's Day, paying tithing, doing good works, obedience, and carnal matters.

Spiritual Tests - Faith to bear the cross, to profess faith through suffering. spiritual warfare.

Daniel's first food test is - a recommendation. A great risk was not foretold.

Dan 3 Make a golden statue on the plain of Dura, and all nations should bow down. If you do not bow down, you will be thrown into the furnace.

Dan 6 Daniel is thrown into the lions' den because of his sin of praying. What didn't waver back then

Because Daniel is victorious in front of food, he does not waver no matter where he goes or what situation he encounters.

3> God greatly blessed Daniel who made up his mind and made a decision.

1:15 And his face was polished. It means your face is shining.

1:17 He gave them understanding and gave Daniel wisdom to interpret dreams. Interpret Nebuchadnezzar's dream.

He honors them in the kingdom of Babylon, where they were taken captive. The king makes them tremble with fear.
