nice to see
(Genesis 1:26-31)
The American philosopher Professor Clayple visited a friend's house. There, he sees his friend's sister, who has no arms and no legs. The girl was a deformed child. However, his feelings for art developed and he had a deep knowledge of music and art. He was astonished to see that this girl had no darkness at all, and was so bright and bright with her face. And I asked. "If I were in your situation, I probably couldn't stand it. What made you look so bright?" The girl responds with a twinkle in her eyes. “I have so many things. I have ears and eyes to listen to music and read masterpieces. I also have the love of family and friends. But the most important thing is that I have Jesus Christ in my heart. Should I be sad?" Professor Clayple was shocked by this girl's confession. The life of a girl is living a life that is good in God's eyes.
One day, Satan came to God. Satan asked, "You made the light and said it was good. You made the earth and the heavens and said that it was good to see. Why did you not directly express that when you created man, you saw man and it was good?" At that time, God answered, "When I made the light, the earth, and the sky, I made them into finished products, but when I made people, I did not complete them." Therefore, our life must be completed as a life that is good in God's eyes.
In the Book of Kings in the Old Testament, the word 'in the sight of the Lord' appears 40 times, and it appears in two ways. There is a saying 'in the sight of the Lord' for the good, and 'in the sight of the Lord' on the bad side.
Hezekiah said that it was good in the sight of the Lord, and that his son Manasseh was evil in the sight of the Lord. What would God say if he saw you now? We should live a life that is good not only in the eyes of men but also in the eyes of God. In order to live a life that was good in the sight of God
First, we must live according to God's plan.
It is said that the evangelist John Bunyan was very afraid to die when he was sentenced to death for his faith and imprisoned in Bedford Jail. However, what was more terrifying for him was that he was even more concerned that many people would see his fear and distrust the gospel, or that it would obscure the glory of God. So he boldly went to prison, believing that God had a clear plan for him. Therefore, I hope that we too, believe that God has a plan to guide us in the midst of difficulties and live according to God's will.
Creation is not an accident, it is God's plan. We must know clearly that our lives are not by chance, but in God's wonderful plan. God planned and made our lives. Therefore, success in life is not about how much you achieve what you want, but whether you live rightly according to God's will for you. Therefore, what we must follow today is not my wish, but God's wish. It is not my will, but God's plan and will for me.
George Truett said, "The greatest knowledge is to know the will of God, and the greatest achievement is to do the will of God."
Second, we must live according to the Word of God.
The most frequent passages in Genesis 1 are "God said" and "It was so". Emphasis on the word. God created with words. God said, Let there be light, and there was light. As you said, it happened. The word of God soon became a visible reality. Therefore, God created the world because He spoke, and His Word had authority and power.
What word are you living today? If there is a way for us to be re-created in God's image, it is through hearing the word of God and living according to it. And when we live according to the Word, we will restore the image of God. Therefore, I bless you in the name of the Lord to live according to the word of God. This is obedience and is the way to fulfill God's plan for life. It is also a life that is good in God's sight.
Third, we must live by looking to God.
Two people commit a crime and go to jail. They spend the day in the same cell, holding on to the iron bars and looking out. One of them devoted himself to writing poetry, always looking up at the sky. As I gazed at the clouds floating in the blue sky, I wrote a gem of a poem. However, the other person always looked at the ground, complaining and complaining. When it rains, I complained about the muddy ground, and when the day was clear, I looked at the dusty ground and complained. Years passed and the two were released. A person who wrote a beautiful poem while looking at the sky could publish a collection of poems and enjoy the joy of life. However, the person who only looked at the ground, resentful and abused himself, caused schizophrenia, and was eventually admitted to a mental hospital, resulting in a miserable ending. True success depends on what you look for and live.
Asians start their day with morning and end with evening. So it starts with light and ends with darkness. It begins with life and ends with death. But the day that God started is not like that. In the book of Genesis, it is said that "there was evening and there was morning" at the end of each day's work. When God works, He begins in the evening and ends in the morning. It starts with darkness and ends with light. Then why did you start with the evening and not the morning? It's that dinner isn't the end. It means that God works wonders at night. It contains a surprising secret. Most people think it's over when it's dark. However, God's work appears brighter and bigger when it is dark and difficult. Therefore, no matter how difficult and dark our life circumstances may be, we must not become discouraged or give up. Rather, we must believe that it is the time when God's hand appears and works. People of faith believe that they will experience God's hand more in dark and difficult times.
There is a saying in the Talmud: “When God made the eye, he made a black pupil in the middle of the white. But God did not let us see through the white part, but through the black pupil. The reason is that even though the reality is as dark as the pupil, it is dark. I am telling you not to despair because you can see a bright future through it." No matter how dark our reality is, we hope that we can see reality rightly because of the darkness, and believe that there is a will to see God through the darkness.
How is your life? Dark and boring? But no matter how dark it may be, don't be discouraged. Rather, look to God at work in the dark. Look to the God who makes the evening and the morning. No matter how long the dark tunnel, there is a bright world at the end. Therefore, I hope you will live your life looking at God who makes light even in darkness.
Are you living a life that is good in God's sight? Now, in God's plan, live according to God's will. Please live your life in complete obedience to God's Word. And I pray in the name of the Lord that you will live a life that looks to God in the image of God and that you live a life that is good in God's sight.
