I. God's work

1. God of the Living

Today is Easter Sunday. God came to this earth in the flesh and died on the cross to bear the burden of human sin. But death could not overcome Jesus, and Jesus could not be held captive by death. Naturally, Jesus overcame the power of death and was resurrected. God was a living God from the beginning, and he is still alive today. The living God is not just “living,” but is active, at work, and at work. The emphasis of Christianity is not on the extent of Jesus' resurrection, but on His work from the beginning to eternity. We who died through the work of God are still alive.

We keep trying to emphasize that ‘God lives.’ But the Bible does not emphasize that ‘God lives, Jesus lives’. Because that's never been a problem. God is alive from the beginning and forever. People who don't know it are just taking it as a problem and stressing it over and over again to overcome the problem. Matthew 22:29-32 shows where the emphasis is on the resurrection. ‘Have you not read, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not a God of the dead, but a God of the living.’ The emphasis is not on the ‘living God’ but the God of the ‘living’. Rather than Jesus died and rose from the dead, we should rejoice, rejoice, and give thanks to the fact that we died to God and became alive to God. The fact that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead proves that God works.

2. God at work

The Christian God is a working God. Even in Exodus, it is always God who works. Israel cried out that it was difficult in the midst of suffering. It is God who helps midwives and saves the lives of imminent human beings; it is God who hears the cries of suffering humans; it is God who remembers the covenant made with humans; , It is God who comes to Israel, and it is God who unfolds the history of the Exodus. What it means to say that God works through people means that what God does is not for the work itself, but for people. When God picks up a person to do work, there is no case in which work has become easier, work has become lighter, or work has become faster because of that person. It's always because of that person that things increase, things get difficult, things get complicated. If ‘work’ was the purpose, God would never have worked with people.

But God's purpose is not 'work', but 'people'. So, rather than saying, ‘God works through people,’ we should say, ‘God reveals to people through work.’ It should be said, ‘God blesses people through work.’ God's purpose is not work, but man, and God does not use man, but work. God's purpose is man. That person knows God and enjoys God's grace and blessings. Man is the object, not the means, of God's work. If so, who is actually working? He is God. The Christian God is the one who works for mankind.

3. God's Persuasion

The first object of God in Exodus is Moses. Who has to work, Moses or God, is God. God needs more persuasion to show Moses that he can do it. He knew that Moses would not obey even if God called him. So, from the beginning until Moses obeyed, God had already worked in order one by one. As a result of God's work, Moses' attitude of protest ceases from 7:7. Then the expression “Moses did everything as God commanded” begins to appear.

II. God's supply

1. Pharaoh and Moses

2. Why genealogy?

Why does the genealogy of Aaron and Moses suddenly appear here? The reason why the genealogy appears here is that Moses has to play a role as a ‘god’ being. What did the Egyptian gods say? Yes, it's a genealogy. Egyptian gods have a genealogy. There is a genealogy that the king is the son of a god. In order for Moses to progress as a ‘god’ being, what must be done to match their form and form? Yes, it's a genealogy. That's why I'm listing the genealogy like this. Now everything is ready. There is a ‘god’ being, Moses. There is Aaron, the prophet of God. And in Moses’ hand was held a ‘stick’ as a symbol of authority and dignity. Behind Pharaoh is the sun god Re. Behind Moses is ‘Jehovah I AM’. God filled all the parts that Moses felt was lacking. God filled all the qualifications that Moses thought he did not deserve.
