Principles of Building a Cell Community
Let's share the vision of our church's cell community.
Text Commentary/ The church is a place where the love of the Lord is practiced. So, when the relationship of love, which is the most important thing, is restored while the church is being built, we can serve the world with that influence. I want our church to serve the world. Every community in the world is built up through the labor of love. Therefore, the life of the cell community of our church lies in the practice of love. In order to practice the love of Christ, we want to discover the principle of establishing a cell community once again. And I hope that each of you will be raised as a minister in the cell community.
Question 1: Describe Christians in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11.
Answer: (1) A Christian is one who is led by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:1-3). The Apostle Paul tells us that the Corinthian believers were led by false idols before they believed in Jesus and became Christians, but after becoming Christians, they must be led by the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit.
(2) A cell community is a church that works through the individual gifts of the saints. In the church, each person must have a unique gift (Romans 12:6). Since various people come to the church and have various problems, God has a plan to help them serve in the necessary areas with each gift (1 Corinthians 4-11).
Question 2: What is the first principle of building a cell community? (Verses 12-13)
Answer: (1) To achieve unity in diversity.
We Christians have become one body through faith in Jesus. Among them are numerous members (verse 12). That is why the church is made up of people who are strongly connected with Jesus Christ.
(2) When a member falls away from the body, it means not only the death of the member but also the death of the whole body. Because each member has an organic unity (John 15:4b). The Holy Spirit unites us into one body (verse 13).
Question 3: What is the second principle of building a cell community? (verses 14-27)
Answer: (1) Harmony of diversity within unity. In order for us Christians to become one in the church, we must first acknowledge and accept the differences between ourselves and others (verses 14-16). God created everyone with a unique personality. This also applies to the life of faith. We must recognize the diversity and uniqueness of each gift of grace. Just because the parts are different doesn't mean they are separate from each other. And each member has a different function. The function of one member cannot be fulfilled by another member (verse 17). In the church, each member is like a member of the body. The saints, each different from each other, are united to form one body (verses 19-20).
(2) How should we treat different people? (verses 21-24). Saints should respect each other. We need to take more care of the weak saints, and not only cover up their ugliness, but also make them more beautiful. Those who are considered of little importance should be treated with greater value.
Question 4: What is the third principle of building a cell community? (verses 28-31)
Answer: (1) All the saints are to be established as leaders. There are various offices in the church (verse 28). Not all offices in the church are the same (verses 29-30). However, if you carefully read verses 28-31, the part about helping each other and governing is revealed as a gift that was left out of office. Helping and governing one another is understood as a gift that sustains all positions. All positions are to help the saints. And all positions must be faithful through God's rule. Therefore, all saints should seek the gift of helping and governing one another. Saints under God's rule can help someone. You can influence the gospel. The gospel is that the Lord has become my Savior. A leader is someone who is in a position to share this gospel with others.
(2) Leaders must devote themselves to the work of building up the body of Christ. We believers should seek the greater gift, the gift of love (verse 31).
Decision message:
The Lord even crucified Himself to build the church. How dedicated are we to build up the body the Lord left on this earth? The motto of the cell community is that ?쐙ou too can be a leader?? Even today, the Lord is building it to become a complete temple in order to be built in the image of God that the Lord wants. I hope that all members of the church will be able to live a life of faith by devoting themselves as cell leaders to raising their own value through ministry.
