Repent of your sins and go to war

Contents

Numbers 14:39-45

The Israelites prepare for war against the Amalekites. Moses urges them not to go out. Why? Because Moses already knew they would be defeated. Because he saw the signs of Israel's defeat. It was because of sin. Today's text shows what kind of aftermath sin brings, and how it brings defeat.

What sins did the Israelites commit?

When I returned to see the promised land that God would give me, I ended up with an attitude of unbelief. So, they resented God and God's servants and resisted them. This was Israel's continued, deepest sin. The sin of blaming and resisting God is the greatest sin. Because it is to abandon the fear of the Creator. Also, the most detrimental result of opposing the servant of God is to shake the body of the Lord, the church, which destroys the community. Israel has sinned that way.

But now they are planning a war with Amalek. What would they think? Because they did not realize that this battle was a spiritual warfare behind it. Israel knew that this fight was just a visible weapon, a number of people.

But in every fight, every advance there is always a spiritual problem! This is because the victory gained through spiritual loss will inevitably become a detrimental opportunity in the future. You will become proud or go further in the flesh. Victory without God is the most dangerous thing. If there is such a victory. It is a being that God has left (?) alone. The victory of the fleshly man is a curse and leads to the curse. your victory??

What were the consequences of Israel's sin?

First, their sins were “against God.” Sin is an act against God. Don't forget. Whenever I sin, this is an act against God! Oh, how much we have rebelled against God!

What is the result of adversity with God?

'God is leaving' (42) (Of course, God does not completely leave them. If so, God would have withdrawn from this earth long ago. God hates sin, but He is a God of grace. !) That means that God does not help. It also says that God's power will not be poured out upon Israel.

God's power comes to a clean place. “God Uses Clean Vessels”

Israel, without God's power, was just a piece of tissue paper. But they believed they would overcome without putting on the power of God. That is pride. When is a human being at its weakest, when is the best time to be defeated? It is time to believe only in 'self-power' and move forward.

Especially, the saints and the church can never be victorious without receiving the power of God. I cannot stop the work of the devil with my own strength. You cannot defeat the devil.

Israel who sinned against God, Israel who resisted God, and Israel who fought without God, what would happen to them?

“And the Amalekites and the Canaans who lived in the hill country came down and struck down and destroyed them as far as Hormah” (45).

That's right. Israel has been crushed! This is the result of fighting without God and the result of sin.

Sin is against God. It is also leaving God. It also means fighting on your own. It is, in the end, the road to defeat.

First of all, are you living in your sins and gaining success? It is the road that will eventually lead to ruin. It is the way that flows into the world into the world. “Whatever a man may be in his own eyes, the end is the way of death.”

Also, are you not living a life of defeat? If so, you should look into your sins. before God!

Israel had to go before God before fighting the Amalekites. And I should have sincerely repented. They should have thoroughly repented of their unbelief. By doing so, the barriers between you and God will naturally be broken down. And God Himself will come among them. And then you would have won.

Are you losing now? Examine your sins. And repent. Then God will dwell in you and God will fight Himself. God said. “The war belongs to me.” We just need to empty ourselves so that God can fight. God uses clean vessels! He wants you to be victorious by living in clean people, saints.

Let's all repent. The sin of me alone makes my family defeated. The sin of me alone makes my church defeated. We are not each. One. When the Israelites were in a series of defeats, the prophet Samuel gathered them at Mizpah. And made everyone repent. If we realize that each of us is one and repent, my family and my church will be victorious and revived. Amen!
