Say the Lord will use you (Mark 11:1-10, Zechariah 9:9)
Lent is a season of reverence and reverence to remember Jesus' journey of suffering. Devout Christians use this period to draw closer to the Lord, especially thinking of Jesus. We too should become saints who spend this period reverently. Getting closer to the Lord through prayer, realizing and knowing the will of the Lord through the Word, and becoming more like the Lord by putting the Word into practice are ways to spend Lent meaningfully. Today I read the words of Mark 11. Although the entire life of the Lord itself was a path toward the cross, the path of full-fledged suffering begins with the entry into Jerusalem, today's text. I pray that today will be a time to receive grace while reflecting on the deep meaning of these words.
jesus riding a donkey
Say that the Lord will use it, and I will send it immediately.
Rather, the owner of the colt was a man who had faith in absolute obedience to the Lord. He was a saint who truly loved God and loved the Lord. Therefore, 'the Lord will use it' means 'sent immediately'. Please pay attention to the word 'immediately'. When the Holy Spirit is moved, if it is not immediately, my thoughts are intervened, Satan is intervened, and calculations are intervened. You can see it vividly in Ananias Sapphira.
If you want to say a kind word, do it right now. Tomorrow may not be yours. The one you love is not always by your side.
If you have words of love now, say them now
'A donkey that no one rode on'
In today's text, the phrase 'the foal of a donkey that no one has ridden yet' appears. The colt on which Jesus rode was a donkey that no one had ridden. It means that it was a separate and pure donkey.
Faith and devotion to God must always be pure and sincere. According to the sacrificial regulations in the Old Testament, it was said that sacrifices offered to God should always be 'without blemish'. 'A donkey that no one rides on' means that it was set apart for the Lord only. It means that it was prepared only for the Lord. It means that Jesus was the first guest on the donkey.
Faith is of the heart. What kind of heart you give is important even when you worship. Whether you pray or sing a song, what kind of heart you give is important. When making a donation, there is no difference in material value, whether it is a crumpled 10,000 won or a new 10,000 won. However, the value of the heart, the spiritual value, and the value of faith are completely different. Faith is putting God first. It is putting God at the center of my thoughts. It is to have God first in my life. It is to have God as the master of my life. Some people say that they do not have time to live a religious life. Others seem to snoop around once in a while in their religious life. But God is the first guest in our lives. Faith is the first and most precious thing we should do in our lives. The Lord was the first guest on the colt that no one rode on. There is a poem that touches my heart even when I read it all the time.
borrower
for you
I haven't raised a single donkey
Shepherd, poor one,
Bethphage on the Mount of Olives
opposite town
you borrowed a donkey
The time is near, with the disciples
I will keep the Passover in your house.
Do so, homeless shepherd
of a woman carrying a water jar
rent an attic
Borrowing all the sins of the world
I'm dead
The tomb for three days
borrower
you too are borrowers
who taught me
borrow a life
borrow everything in it
Wife, children, status
It's all borrowed.
what do we do today
Shall I Lend It To You - Lim Moon-hyuk-
Everyone, it's Lent. More than any other time, I hope that you will have a time to keep the words of Jesus in your heart and live in the image of Jesus. I pray that it will be a time to reflect on the faith of the donkey owner who 'sent it immediately' when he said, 'The Lord will use it.'
