Matthew 9:35-38 Send the workers
God is a workman. ‘God rested on this day after all the work he had created and made.’ (Genesis 2:3) It is the work of creating life and giving rest to them. Adam did not only farm and give names to animals and living things, but also to keep them from entering the sin that causes loss of rest and life, and to maintain holiness. (Genesis 2:15) What Jesus told his Father to do , It is to find the things that have lost their rest because sin entered the world to rest. ‘My Father works until now, and I work. (John 5:17)
1. Visual correction
Jesus bridged the gap between the viewpoints and the level of difference with the disciples, and taught, corrected, and provided field training to share the same views and thoughts with the same meaning. “What must we do to do the works of God?” He said, “The work of God is to believe in him whom God has sent” (John 6:28-29).
In the town of Samaria, he said, 'I have food that you do not know' (John 4:32), and he said, 'My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work' (John 4:34).
‘Noah’, the son of Lamech, the 8th generation of Adam (Genesis 5:29), is comfort, comfort, and rest, a name that typifies Christ. “Come to thee, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28) proves that Jesus is Noah.
2. The work of Jesus
Jesus went to every city and every corner of town to evangelize.
Tolstoy, the author of the Russian literary 'Resurrection', has always lived with three questions in his heart. First, who is the most important person in the world? The person in front of me right now, second, what is the most important thing in this world? What am I doing (evangelism), Third, what is the most important time in this world? It is called this time (prayer).
1) Teaching in the synagogue (Didache)
He taught us what the work of the kingdom of God is and the important values that life should hold.
2) Preaching the gospel of the kingdom (kerygma-declaration)
As a king, he proclaimed to the crowds, “Repent and believe in the Gospel.” By proclaiming the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross, we provided an opportunity to be saved if we believe and to perish if we disbelieve.
3) Healing sickness and weakness (diakonia - service, serving)
He healed and restored the sick and weak in spirit and body through the word, forgiving and loving, laying on his hands, and commanding him to lead a normal family and social life, as well as a witness and a worker in the Lord's kingdom.
3. Pray for Harvest Workers
The word 'embarrassed' means 'stupid, pitiful, sad'. He lamented in front of his disciples that shepherds were needed to feed the embarrassment, and that there were few and few laborers to harvest while the whitening fields were waiting for the harvest. When asked to send workers, Moses and judges were sent to save Israel. Workers Often, people who pray become workers. It is because he is a person who has opened his eyes to the things of God, and because he is a person who knows the circumstances of God. The person God sends is a worker.
Conclusion / Send us laborers for the harvest and raise up the work of salvation.
