The 7 Essentials of a Group of Titles
2 Corinthians (13) group of seven requirements (2 Corinthians 4:1-6)
1. Do not lose heart (verse 1)
The Apostle Paul considered it to be because of God's mercy that he was the greatest persecutor of the church and eventually became an evangelist. From then on, he saw his life as a bonus. So, no matter what difficult circumstances he encountered, he did not become discouraged (verse 1). In ministry, you will encounter numerous barriers. Even with such barriers, never lose heart, believing that God's grace has been and will continue to exist.
2. Let go of hidden shame (verse 2)
3. Do not act deceitfully (verse 2)
This is not to say, “Do not act wisely!” Rather, ministers should have a serpent-like appearance. Wisdom and deceit are different. “Deceit” is to deceive others and destroy their souls. Therefore, “Do not walk in deceit!” means “Do not act cunningly!” Fortress Shincheonji members hide their identities with the intention of shaking up the church, then infiltrate the church and sow questions about the church system and leadership before finally breaking or taking over the church. Since such a method itself is a cunning method, it is already clear that the truth presented by Shincheonji is not the truth. Such cunning behavior should not be wrapped up in mission statements.
4. Have a good conscience (verse 2)
At the time, someone with a letter of recommendation for church ministry shook the principles of the gospel while preaching legalism. That is why the Apostle Paul emphasized that it is more important to have a right heart to preach the truth according to a good conscience. The first century AD Jewish commentator Philo said: “The conscience is the voice of God in man.” Although human conscience has been dulled and sometimes distorted since the fall, a good conscience is an important virtue necessary for workers as it gives people dignity and the ability to discern the truth.
5. Live centered on the Gospel (vv.
The Apostle Paul preached the gospel in a clear and understandable way. However, there were those who continued to distort and criticize the true meaning of the gospel, saying that they did not understand the principles of the gospel. Who keeps us from receiving the Gospel like that? Satan the devil. What does Satan do best? It is to blind the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot accept the gospel and deny that Christ is the image of God. Therefore, even if someone does not accept the Gospel well, we should think about the person behind him and have no doubts about the power and truth of the Gospel.
6. Have a sense of calling (verse 5)
In the early days of tribulation in the early days of the church, the Apostle Paul did his work voluntarily without expecting any human reward because of his sense of calling from God. It is said that he became a servant of service with such a sense of calling. The gospel brings freedom, but with that freedom we must choose to live as servants to God and our neighbors. In ancient times, to become a servant means to be prepared for suffering and death. When he tries to become like a servant with such a servant attitude and determination, God will make him the most glorious.
7. Know God more (verse 6)
What is the greatest knowledge in the world? It is the knowledge of knowing Jesus and knowing God. When the light of the knowledge of God comes into your heart, the dark shadows of your heart and life will disappear and a splendid and blessed world will unfold at the same time. When we are full of the knowledge of God, we can overcome any trials and tribulations. Because we know who God is and we know the end of suffering that God has allowed.
