There are times in life when we encounter very absurd things. I get embarrassed when I run into situations that are overly common sense or that are too different from my standards.
The young man named Joseph who appears in today's text must have been very confused. She couldn't hide her embarrassment that her fianc e had a baby she didn't care for. If we could express the situation at this time in other words, we could say, "It's ridiculous", "It's absurd", "No, I can't", "How can this happen", and "It's amazing" Nevertheless, we can learn a great lesson from Joseph's religious appearance. What happened to Joseph was unacceptable, unforgivable, and so serious that it was too much for him to grieve. The custom of the Jewish nation is to marry after a certain period of time (usually one year) after being engaged. However, a woman named Mary, who is engaged to Joseph, is not married, nor has she ever lived with Joseph, but her stomach begins to grow. A virgin is having a baby. At that time, when a virgin had a child, the villagers dragged her and stoned her to death. But Joseph's fianc e, Mary, became pregnant.
Dear saints! Many people like to expose other people's faults. They even drink one more drink and slander others. Frankly, this is what we look like. In Matthew 7:3-5, Jesus said, “Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not understand the log that is in your own eye? I will remove the speck from it.”
Finally, Maria gave birth to a baby. Joseph is not
