Sermons for Preaching

The title itself is a miracle

Revelation (58) Faith itself is a miracle (Revelation 13:11-15)

<Be sensible>

Revelation 13 gives a description of two beasts. The first beast is the antichrist with the spirit of Satan, but what is the second beast? The second beast looked like a lamb with two horns and spoke like a dragon. In other words, it looked like a gentle sheep, but Satan's words came out of his lips. The second beast is the witness of the antichrist, the false prophet, who exercises the same authority as the first beast, the antichrist, and causes the antichrist to be worshiped.

In fact, even a single word can tell the difference between a real prophet and a fake prophet. So pray for discernment in the Word. Of course, God has given each saint some basic discernment. The problem is that we lose our discernment because of greed and pride. Then, along with the prayer for discernment, we also need to pray for discernment not to be lost.

This false prophet also demonstrates the power to deceive people, make and worship idols, and make them speak (verses 13-15), with the tremendous miracle of bringing fire down from heaven to earth. This scene shows just how dangerous a miraculous belief can be. Don't believe all miracles are God's. There are also miracles that the devil performs to deceive people. miracle!" Do not forget that doing so can do great harm to the soul.

The most serious war of the end times is neither the Euphrates nor the Armageddon war. The real scary war is the war between the 'glamorous miracle' and the 'word of truth'. In that sense, the importance of ‘reading the Bible every day’ cannot be overemphasized. 'Reading the Bible every day', which is not flashy and sometimes seems boring, is the greatest spiritual tool to protect the soul from Satan's temptations, delusions, false image faith, and spiritual vanity.

If God is a God of miracles, and the devil can also do miracles, how can we discern those miracles? It is no exaggeration to say that it is hardly an exaggeration to say that it is almost a miracle from Satan to exalt one's own name while pretending to exalt God's name by publicizing that it has done a miracle. Another important criterion for discernment is whether you draw closer to God and the Word through that miracle. Even with such a friendly appearance, we can discern to a certain extent.

< Faith itself is a miracle >

Sometimes in life, I want to experience miracles and become the main character of blessings and success. But even in the simple truth, there are enough principles of blessing and success. Some say that they believe in God only when there are miracles and blessings. On the other hand, some say they will believe in God even without miracles and blessings. The answer to what God will be pleased with is clear.

God is pleased with those who believe in Him even without miracles and blessings. If finding the truth in simple things, thankful, and believing is the taste of real faith, and believing only because some special miracle happens, then what is the real need to have faith? If we believe only because there is a miracle, then everyone will believe. God is a God of miracles, but He does not give miracles all the time to select people who have true faith.

What we need to know clearly in our life of faith is that even if miracles happen, perfect faith does not necessarily occur. Perfect faith comes from God and is moved by the Holy Spirit. According to the Gospels, all 10 blind people were healed by the Lord, and 9 of them did not appear before the Lord even though they experienced miracles. When you experience miracles, you may think you will believe everything, but in reality, you are not. Miracles may give 'something like faith', but they do not give 'true faith'. In that sense, having true faith itself is the greatest miracle.

Even though believers who are not prone to spiritual temptations appear as insignificant as water on the surface, in reality, such people make the church and society blessed. Water cleanses the outside and quenches the thirst inside. Also, while benefiting all things, he does not quarrel with other things and does not hesitate to be in a low place. In order to become a saint who does not hesitate to take losses in order to benefit the church and its members, we must fight fiercely against spiritual vanity.

How often do you do good things and do more spiritual depravity? In fact, the best thing to do is to do something good without being conscious that you have done something good. A person who comes to church every morning and prays for the church, family, and neighbors, but has no awareness of “I pray this much” is a really good believer. God's great blessings will be reserved for those who are humble in spirit who actively participate in sharing and serving, find and do things that others do not want to do, and do the best work.
