The Christian attitude to keep the holidays
(Psalm 81:1-16)
Now we are celebrating the Lunar New Year. Thousands of people are coming and going to their hometown. Although the only news we hear is that it is difficult and difficult, we are still looking for our hometown and adults as we start the new year. During this season, we Christians should not follow the traditions and trends of society unconditionally without thinking before God. Through these national festivals, we must exert our efforts to become more glory and joy to God. So, today, through the words of this text, we would like to receive grace together with the word “Christian attitude to keep the holidays”.
God commanded the Israelites to keep the feasts (4, Exodus 23:14-17).
God commanded the Israelites who left Egypt and settled in the land of Canaan to observe the feasts three times a year. There is a clear purpose and meaning in God's creation of the feasts. ①It is to worship and glorify God. (Exodus 5:1) ②It is to remember and give thanks to God’s works of grace.(Exodus 12:14,27) ③All nations are one with Jehovah God as the center to make it happen. God did not tell the people of Israel to keep the festival without much significance. There is a clear purpose and purpose that God wants. As we celebrate the Lunar New Year, we must apply God's purpose and will. It should be a New Year's holiday that follows God's purpose and will, not just a festival that goes back and forth according to tradition and circumstances.
