Title: Difference Between Model and Reality!
The Israelites were all under the Law, at least until Jesus came to the land of Israel. To live under the law means that everyone lived by the law. And since the law is not for the righteous, but for the wrong, the saying that the people of Israel lived under the law proves that they are imperfect people.
Where are the only imperfect people of Israel? All of the people in this world are, in fact, imperfect people. Nevertheless, the reason why we apply this word to the Israelites is because they continue to consider themselves righteous. There are others here who consider themselves righteous. This is precisely what Christians today consider themselves righteous (considering they have been saved). However, it is important to know that no one can be perfected by law.
At that time, God gave the Law to the Israelites who had escaped from Egypt through Moses. The reason was that God's law was needed to govern those who were accustomed to slavery in Egypt. Likewise, the law of the Holy Spirit was given to Gentiles who believe in Jesus today. The reason was also that there was a need for a law to govern the strangers who had just been living in vain. However, neither the law nor the law of the Holy Spirit, as a human being, there is no one who can fully keep and live. However, those who live a religious life mistakenly believe that they have completely obeyed this law, and they continue to consider themselves righteous.
If there had been even one man born of Adam's descendants who perfectly obeyed this law, God would not have sent His Son into the world. However, Jews at the time of Jesus and Christians today are mistaken for being saved because they kept the law to some extent (because they went to church diligently). The law is good ten times, but if you do it wrong once, you are breaking all the laws and you are put to judgment. They say that it is difficult to keep the law or the law of the Holy Spirit.
However, human beings do not think like that, but come to think, ‘If I make a mistake once in a hundred times, God will take care of it…’. So, when all believers think like that, they do not realize their sins through the law, but rather boast only of the good deeds and become righteous. However, God imposes a strict standard of law on those who want to be justified by the law, so that they do not have any excuses or transgressions.
However, through the law God has given (the law and the law of the Holy Spirit), to those who realize their own faults, that is, sin, God sends a gift of grace beyond words, and that is His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus was needed by the people of Israel who lived under the law, and he is absolutely necessary for Christians living under the Holy Spirit today. Therefore, those who lived under the law need Jesus who came in the flesh, and those who lived under the law of the Holy Spirit need the Lord who comes spiritually.
But today, if he ignores this principle and believes that he believes in Jesus because he called on the name of Jesus or because he went to church diligently, and does not give up his argument until the end, he will soon end up walking the path the Pharisees walked. To the Israelites, who had to keep the law physically, the Messiah also sent a visible Son to make them believe. However, to the present-day Christians who received the Holy Spirit and became spiritual people, He also sent the Son of God spiritually, so their spiritual eyes and spiritual ears were opened. Only those who exist will be able to see him and hear his voice.
Currently, Christians believe in the name of Jesus, not in reality, but in a pattern. Therefore, the model disappears whenever the reality comes. A construction company first builds a model in order to sell an apartment. Then, customers see the model of the apartment to be built in the future and receive the sale. On the day customers move into the apartment, the model of the apartment disappears without a trace. It is true that the model obviously played a very important role until the apartment was completed. However, no matter how important the model may be, once the apartment is completed, the model is nothing more than a useless midday.
The temple in Jerusalem played a very important role until the coming of Jesus. However, after Jesus came, the Jerusalem temple no longer loses its value as a model. Likewise, the name of Jesus and even the chapel, which Christians believe in today, are all examples. It is true that the model played a very important role along with the servants of the Lord. But now Christians must also believe in the Son sent by God. Christians must boldly throw away all the models they have been holding onto and believe in the spiritual Son God has sent. Only then can you become whole.
In the past, Solomon's temple was said to be the best in the world for its grandeur and splendor. Therefore, in order to hear the magnificence of such a building and one word of Solomon's wisdom, the Bible records that people from faraway countries came to Solomon with gifts. However, do you remember that the magnificent Temple of Solomon and the things that could not follow the wisdom of Solomon under the heavens at that time were all just a model to represent Jesus?
Compared to them, what Christians today hold on to is nothing. Therefore, if all of Solomon's at that time was a type of Jesus, we should know that all the glory that Christians today hold is only a type. The model will disappear whenever the substance comes and only its name will remain, but the substance will not disappear forever and will be with us. Therefore, those who hold onto the pattern will disappear together when the pattern disappears, and those who hold onto the reality will be with the Lord forever.
