The God who forsakes the title and establishes it
Word: 1 Samuel 16:1
Title: The God Who Forsaken and Established
The text is the scene where he regrets raising Saul and raises David.
God Who Decided to Forsake Saul Saul did not understand the purpose of God's call.
Saul did not strive and work for the Lord, but he labored and worked for himself.
Rather than working for the kingdom of God, Saul puts more effort into building his own family.
Saul was a proud man in all things. Saul forgot the old days when he was just a little man.
He exalted himself above the priests. He exalted himself above the prophets.
Even before God, he chooses the path of destruction to find face and pride.
He values honor and merit more and chooses the path of disobedience.
Ultimately, he is rejected by God and rejected by the people.
God is a God who forsakes.
God appointed David
It is established through Samuel.
When God raises people, He establishes them through people. He establishes them through those who pray.
It is established through the servants of God.
Many God's workers are raised up through God's workers.
The process of establishing David
He raises the eighth son of Jesse the Bethlehemite.
He is a God who does not look at the outward appearance, but looks at the heart, that is, the person.
God who anoints
In many contexts of the Bible, 'horns' symbolize power and power.
To fill the horns and anoint them with oil means to give them power.
The anointing is the selection.
David was anointed three times.
The first anointing was poured out in secret, informally, with only Jesse's family in attendance.
The second was anointed when he ascended to be king of the house of Judah in Hebron.
The third was finally received when David became king of all Israel.
