The God Who Reveals the Title

Contents

Ezekiel 16:35-52 / God Reveals

* When is a person most ashamed?

- Perhaps when the shameful things that have been hidden / are made public

- God / Away from God - Relying on idolatry and great powers

& I will expose all the shame of Israel for committing fornication. / He says.

- So, I will put an end to this unstoppable sin - / He says.

** Also, how great is Israel's sin...

& Comparing Sodom and Samaria - He laments that Israel's iniquity is greater than that.

* Through today's text / What kind of God is... What are the lessons he gives me...

& Let's think about a few things.

1. Covering my naked body, covered in blood / with nice clothes

& Forsaken the God who made you his bride

& against Israel who practiced fornication and abominations - God pronounces judgment.

Verse 37

- God judges / what Israel had so relied upon and pursued until now.

& everyone he loved, / everyone he hated, /

& Gathered from all sides - He says / I will make all the shame exposed / I will make everyone see it.

- And, in verse 39 / he says / (again) shamefully - I will strip him naked.

* Who is God?

- God covers all our transgressions and sins, and He forgives us...

& At the same time, when God does not turn to the end...

& He is the one who exposes / shames / and punishes all our sins.

** Yet today we // cover our filthy sins and transgressions /

& rather hide / forgive

& (not judgment) to be in God's grace - How grateful are you?

* However, today Israel - by not turning back until the end

& (the God who judges) exposes / shames all that iniquity.

* Everyone! Why does God rebuke / punish Israel so terribly?

Verse 41

- Because they themselves do not stop idolatrous fornication...

& God forced - to stop.

<It's fine if you do it yourself... No matter how much you say it, you're forcing it to stop.>

<Apply> Dear friends!

- Before God reveals / What sin should I confess first?

- Before God put an end to it / What sins should I end first?

* Some revivalists say so.

- “I’m sure you won’t be able to drink alcohol because it’s the top bread? - Or won't you take care of yourself?"

- “Are you sure I can’t smoke a cigarette by making a loaf of bread? - Or do you want to quit on your own?”

- “Should I make the company go bankrupt and come to church? - Or would you like to worship on your own?”

** It is wise to finish it yourself / before God finishes it.

* There is something like that when we raise our children.

- Older kids / I wish they had made a mistake quickly and then asked for forgiveness...

& You were beaten to the end and you slept? - In the end, everything was right and it was wrong, right?

- But, when I look at the youngest ones, / he only holds a falcon and hasn't hit him yet.

& He said he was wrong right away / and said he would never do it again.

** Then / does your heart hurt even after hitting the older ones?

- I'm weak, but I'm thankful for the youngest ones who said they made a mistake before hitting the rod, right?

* Dear friends!

- God is the same. <You must not hurt God's heart>

- If you want to hear the rod - Even then / I should have prayed "I was really wrong" quickly...

& then, even if you get beaten - less likely...

& what kind of god he is so strong in front of... - Is it all right?

- Everyone! / In front of God - Let's not brag about our strength.

- In the presence of God - Always / who knows how to lay flat quickly - I hope you will become such people.

2. The Israelites - Sodom and Samaria /

& always~ “Things like garbage! / Things that were destroyed by sin” “Things like to set fire to hell!” /

& I lived while pointing fingers.

- But God - "You are more sinful / than Sodom and Samaria..."

& says so.

* And / what do you say?

Verses 44 and 45

- what?

- “That mother is her daughter~! / She is her older sister and her younger sister.”

- "She also abandoned her husband and children and went to another man... / Her daughter is the same."

& “Where are those bloodlines going?” // People are sarcastic.

* What does this mean?

- They look alike. 'Resembles.'

- Israel, whom God had chosen, / resembled the surrounding Gentile nations, Heth and Amor.

& Samaria and Sodom.

- We shouldn't look alike / It's similar.

** The saints, the people of God - do not influence the world

& It's like the people of the world.

& It's not that different from the rest of the world.

<Apply> Dear friends!

- Who do you resemble today?

- Today we / want to be like Jesus.

& I hope that you will become more like Jesus.
