The God Who Satisfies

Contents

Title: God Who Satisfies

Bible: Psalm 107:8-15

Starting Point of the Word>>

Today, I would like to share a sermon with the title of “God Who Satisfies”.

Example>>

There lived a rich man and a poor farmer.

However, when comparing these two people, an astonishing fact was discovered.

Although the rich man had many things, he was full of resentment and complaints every day, and the poor farmer, although he had nothing, always seemed full of joy and peace.

The locals ask the poor farmer.

“What do you like to always smile and look full of peace?”

Then the farmer answered.

“I am happy to be able to work today, I am happy to have a family together, and how happy I am to be able to work for someone!”

A person who lives with satisfaction in his life does not see the conditions and circumstances of his life.

No matter how much you have, those who complain and grumble cannot know what joy is or what peace is.

Psalm 107, the word of today's text, praises God's providence to deliver Israel from captivity.

Israel was a small country in the Middle East, but it was a nation that lived and experienced God's grace every day.

Today, the author of this psalm is praising God who gives satisfaction to them by giving them grace in the midst of difficult and difficult adversity.

I sincerely hope that God's grace that satisfies Israel that Israel experienced at this time today will add to the amazing history that me and all the saints can experience together.

Go to Word>>

In order to experience the grace of God like Israel through the words of this text,

First, we must become saints who long for God's grace.

Looking at verses 8-9 of the text,

“Blessed be the LORD for his kindness and for his miracles that he has done to men, for he satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry with good things.”

is saying

This verse is a hymn in which Israel earnestly longed for and expected God's help and grace while they were in captivity in Babylon, and God miraculously saved them from Babylon with faith.

God granted grace to Israel, who longed for God's grace in Babylon and longed to worship in God's land as soon as possible.

Even today, God satisfies the souls of the saints who long for his help and grace and fills them with good things.

That is why we must do our best to come before God and pray, and we must give our best life to worship.

Those who seek help must leave their plight to God as they are.

At that time, we will experience the wonderful grace of God that fills our thirsty hearts with satisfaction.

Second, we must live according to the word of God with a humble heart.

If we look at the words of verses 10-12,

“Man sits in darkness and in the shadow of death, and in agony and chains he disobeys the word of God and despises the will of the Most High. Therefore he tormented them and humbled their hearts, and there was no one to help them when they fell.”

This verse tells the reason why the people of Israel were taken into captivity in Babylon and why there was no one to help them when they were suffering.

The most fundamental cause of Israel's difficulties was that they did not follow God's Word and His will.

It is like a sheep that goes on its way without following the shepherd and is caught by a flock of wolves.

In 1 Samuel 15:26, it says that because Saul, the first king of Israel, rejected God's word, God also forsaken him.

And the reason they had no one to help them when they were in pain was because they were proud.

This means that God did not help because Israel's heart was proud,

Looking at the lives of those who do not enjoy God's blessings even today, we see that it is a time of pride to depend on their lives instead of relying on God.

Today, as saints, we should learn from this kind of Israel, have a humble heart and do God's Word and will, so that we can live a blessed life with God's salvation and help.

In the name of the Lord, I ask that all of us who realize that we are the safest, happiest, and lacking in nothing when we are in God's word and will, in the name of the Lord.

Finally, in order to experience the grace of God that satisfies us, we must become believers who cry out to God in tribulation.

If we look at verses 13-14 of the text,

“Then they cried out to the LORD in their affliction, and he delivered them from their affliction, and brought him out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their ties.”

When Israel was taken captive and fell to death, and there was no one to help, they cried out to God and prayed in their tribulation.

Praying during tribulation!

It refers to praying with a humble heart, a longing heart, a single heart, a earnest heart, and a longing heart.

God did not turn away from the prayers of Israel during their tribulation, but He heard them.

He delivered them from suffering, brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their ties.

If they had not cried out to God, they would never have experienced the power of God.

It is no exaggeration to say that we are now living in a generation thirsting for grace.

We live in a generation in which there is no joy when we give praise, there is no emotion when we pray, and even when we hear the word, we do not understand it.

But God tells us to cry out and pray.

He tells us not to look for our needs in the world, but to be filled with the cry of our Heavenly Father.

This is Jeremiah 33:3.

“Call to me, and I will answer you, and I will show you great and mighty things that you do not know.”

Our failure to experience the grace of God that satisfies us is not because there is a problem elsewhere, but because we do not cry out for it.

At the end of the speech>>

As I always say, God is the One who satisfies our lives with good things and good ways every day.

If we long for God's grace, live by God's word and will, and cry out for God's help, God will give us the wonderful blessing of satisfying us in this age.

I earnestly pray in the name of the Lord that me and all of our members who are worshiping today can live a life of amazing grace that overflows with joy and gratitude every day through this amazing grace of God.
