The God Who Satisfies (2) (Psalm 23:2)
God Satisfying (2)
Psalm 23:2
This is what a person with panic disorder looks like.
First, it becomes difficult to breathe and it becomes difficult to breathe. It's not like I have any special disease, but it's making it hard to breathe.
Second, the heart beats erratically. A normal person's pulse rate is said to be about 70-80 beats per minute, but this person fluctuates up and down.
The third is dizzy and staggers. I feel like I'm going to faint right now.
The fourth is frequent cold sweats.
The fifth is shortness of breath, pain and discomfort in the chest area.
Sixth, they fall into a sense of unreality, as if they came from another world or changed themselves.
The seventh is stomach churning and makes you vomit what you ate.
Eighth, hands and feet and whole body tremble.
The ninth is to feel numbness in the limbs and then numbness here and there.
The tenth one feels like someone is choking me, so I feel like I'm going to suffocate.
The eleventh has a hot face and chills.
The twelfth is engulfed in fear of death.
The thirteenth is a fear of going crazy or losing control.
If you have only four or more of the thirteen symptoms above, ask yourself to suspect it. There is no medical treatment for panic disorder. First of all, I don't know the cause. And there is no such thing as a proper theory. There are only symptoms. So how scary is this?
Now, by the way, folks, there is only one answer to such and such a problem. It can only be obtained theologically. What is said is that this panic disorder is a symptom that comes from the anxiety that arises when a human being in the image of God leaves God. Panic disorder comes when I try to free myself from God without knowing God. I try to rely on my knowledge, I try to rely on my money. I live on the land I bought, trusting in my honor, my authority, and the foundation I have built in my own way. I think of that as God and live. I think they will bring you a restful rest for a lifetime. He believes that they will lead his life to green pastures, and he risks everything.
But guys, are these forever reliable? It's always something to worry about. The answer to the problem lies only with God. So today David makes it clear that God is the one who leads our lives to green pastures and still waters to our satisfaction. David's confession, "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters." It is the answer that satisfies life. When we leave God, human beings are bound to be anxious, and life without God itself is just empty.
When we say we believe in God, the most important thing is to be sure that God is the One who provides for our needs. Please do not misunderstand this. It is not God who supplies me according to my needs, but He who knows and meets my needs. It's not a pun. It's an entirely different story. That is not to say that God is the One who gives me whatever I need. This misunderstanding is the reason why we go through many trials and leave God while living our faith. You need to know it right. God provides what I need, and I just have to meet that need in it. To know this truth is faith. Therefore, in order to understand the saying that a person of faith cannot have any complaints or complaints, it is only understood by going up to this point of faith. This is David's confession today. I don't know what a high-level confession of faith that a God who knows me so well before I want it and need it has already given it to me so that I can enjoy it without any problem at all, and that that is the satisfaction we should enjoy.
Now, let's look at David's concrete confession. You can discover the grace of God of great satisfaction hidden in the truth he experienced and realized.
Dear saints!
Today we absolutely need God. True satisfaction in life can be found in God who satisfies. All we need is faith to confess God as our shepherd. Satisfying God, confess that He is your shepherd today.
