. On that day I will loosen the yoke of foreign powers from the nape of your neck, and break it so that it will not be yoke again (8).

. Concluding remarks

1. The Lord is a good God, and he could not just watch the Israelites suffer as captives.

2. The reason the people suffered was not because they hated them, but because they loved them. For that reason, we can see this from the promise to immediately set the people free from their afflictions.

3. Therefore, we must never forget this will and heart of God.

4 These words were spoken by the Lord concerning Israel and Judah.

5 "This is what Na-ju says. I hear cries out of fear. There is no peace, only violence.

6 Ask if men also give birth. Why is it that all the men are holding their stomachs with their hands like women in childbirth, and all of their faces have turned pale?

7 Sad, that day! It is a scary day that cannot be compared to anything. It is a time of trouble for Jacob. But Jacob will be saved.

8 This is what the Lord of hosts says. When that day comes, I will break the yoke from his neck and break his chains, so that the Gentiles will no longer be slaves to him.

9 Then they will serve the Lord as their God, and the Son of David, whom I will raise up for them, as their king."

10 "Do not fear, my servant Jacob. Do not be afraid, Israel, saith the Lord. Behold, I will save you from afar and bring you, and deliver your descendants from the land of captivity, Jacob. When I return to this homeland, I will live in peace and stability, and I will live without any threat.

11 I will come to you and save you. my word I chased you and scattered you to many countries, but now I will destroy them all. But I will not destroy you, but I will discipline you according to the law. I will never spare you punishment.
