The hand with the title book wins
Content All living things need growth. What we expect after we have children is growth. However, if you don't grow up, your parents' hearts will suffer as well as you can be a fatal blow. Today's text emphasizes the need for growth in the spiritual part as well.
Hebrews 5:12 “Because of the long days, you ought to be teachers.”
I have lived a long life of faith. Then it means that God expects you to go to the position of a teacher rather than remain a beginner. <Because the time is long> It is natural to become a leader and to go to a position of service.
Yes, because growth is the foundation of life. At birth, life is meant to grow. However, there may be growth disorders. The body can too. Seeing a child doesn't make him grow up. If you are much shorter than your peers, it hurts your parents. Isn't it the same mentally? I can't go to the bathroom by myself even when I'm 20, and I call my mom day and night even when I'm 30. So, wouldn't that mean that I'm not growing mentally? Don't you have any thoughts? There are stupid moms who like it when that happens, but if you're a sane mom, you should be seriously concerned. Is this child mentally sound?
It is the same spiritually. Spiritually, if you are living a religious life, you should have grown up, but the sound you say day and night - Even after believing in Jesus for 20 years, you say, “I am still lacking.” are you? It means you have to be able to grow. The problem is that it doesn't grow. The problem is this. “Growth is important” I don't think we can't help but agree on this. I feel that growing up is important. So how do you grow? The most important thing in the growth of our members is that it is not “the way to believe in Jesus”. It doesn't matter how long you believe. I've been in choir for several years, and that has nothing to do with it. A few generations of faith I don't think there is a direct relationship between this and that. It could be a good thing, but... …
1. Digestive power of the Word
In fact, it is the digestibility of the Word that can make a direct relationship. It is a relationship with the Word. How deeply can you touch the Word of God and how much can you digest it? that depends on it. In fact, you will come across it while you are in the ministry. Even though you have only believed in Jesus for two or three years, you can see that those who have deeply touched the Word of God grow as much as those who have believed for 30 years. On the other hand, even if you have believed for 30 years, if you continue to live a life of faith that has nothing to do with the Word, that person is still a child. That's what the Bible says today. The part that we must not miss in our growth is the digestibility of the Word.
Hebrews 5:12 “Because of the long days of your life, you should be teachers, but again, from whom should you teach the basics of the word of God? You have become deprived of milk or solid food. Aini who has not experienced the Word of Righteousness>
Those who do not have the deep framework of God's Word cannot grow. Therefore, in order to grow, the most important thing is that there must be systematic study and abundant supply of the Word to build the framework of life with the Word of God.
When you look at the construction of a building, it is called the skeleton of the building. By looking at its shape, you can quickly tell how high the building will go. For example, a thatched house does not have a skeleton. Even if there is, don't you just rough it up with something like wood? Ah, this must be on the first floor at most. If it is a tiled house, the pillars are very thick. This is enough to go up to the second floor. But no one would say that they would raise the building to the tenth floor with wooden beams. Oh, this will never go over the second floor. I know soon. And when you go up a tall building, the depth of digging changes already. If you dig deep and the framing is reinforced and concrete, then this is a building with at least 5 stories, a building with more than 10 stories, usually predictable. The role that God's Word gives us is that it serves as a framework. So, how can a tall building be erected without the framework of the Word? That is the biblical approach today.
There are two types of faith styles. There are people who started to believe in Jesus through the heat of faith and emotional things. If you look at it with the heat of ordinary heat, that person will be amazing after a few years. makes you think. If you look back at a person who only has that heat after 3 or 4 years, there are many people who find it difficult to maintain the old heat. Yes, because there is only heat. There is no growth. If you continue to live your life of faith with mysterious emotional problems, it is a repeated faith. It was hot, it was cold, it was hot, it was cold, and that's just repeating it over and over again. However, there are characteristics of a person who looks very cold on the outside, but something grows over time, and his attitude in speaking and judging change. A person who receives the daily supply of the Word and has a framework for the Word is a one-story building now, but after a few years it is a 3-story building. After a while, it's a 5th floor, sometimes a 10th floor. It is said that there are times when it is transformed into an amazing building with several tens of floors, saying that he is a person of great depth and insight for a layman.
Are there people who are frustrated with growth today? The same goes for preachers. No progress in the sermon! If you look at people who do, they are usually people who are far from the Bible. It is that those who do with the degree of illustration and cutie-like meditation heard here and there day and night will never be able to grow. You must be familiar with the Word. When you know how to go deep into the Word, there is growth in your generation.
2. Use of perception
What is all this talking about? That means you have to use perception. I have never used perception before in my religious life. I lived a life of faith with only emotions. When it's hot, I raise my hands, when it's hot, I cry, and I don't know when I wore my hair. The head is used only to make money. Then you are doing the wrong thing in your life of faith. You must use your perception to study the Bible.
Hebrews 5:14 "Solid food belongs to the mature."
A person who has grown up means that he can synthesize not only the difficult parts of the Word, but also various things.
<They are those who have been trained to discern good and evil because they use their perception.>
You must be able to use your perception. Using perception means, for example, remembering things that you have learned by reading a lot, isn't this also a kind of perception? Another is to connect, to connect the Word to the Word. So, the character that I liked in the past is the “Reference Bible”. There are several verses related to that verse. There are a lot of good books these days, but I don't think they have as much depth as the cross-examination Bible. There are many things that go into unnecessary information and cause confusion. If you read the Gwanju Bible, you can reap very abundant fruits from it. There is no better way to interpret the Bible through the Bible than the cross-reference Bible. That's how you use perception.
Also, the weakest part of the Korean church was that there were many studies comparing the Bible and the Bible, but the decisive weakness was that the connection between the Bible and the field of one's life was weak. Try to connect the Bible with your job. And the people you meet with your job. It's about constantly connecting. From then on, great theology comes out. In fact, when did the theology of workplace missions come from? Doesn't it come from connecting with work? If you keep making connections, there is no theology that will not come out. The realm of the word of life should be widened. This is the use of perception. So, if you believe in Jesus, learn to use your senses to serve God. It means that there must be a figure that knows how to blossom by connecting my job, my reality, my situation, and the Word of God. When we connect the Word and reality, new paths that no one has ever explored will be opened. What is this? It is a way of serving God using your perception. If you continue in this way, you are meant to grow and grow. Use all that God has given you.
Leonardo da Vinci said, "If you don't use iron, it will rust. Water that does not flow loses its purity. In the same way, our indolence also de-energizes the mind.” If you are lazy, you will not only gain weight, but you will also lose vitality. In particular, the vitality of the mind is lost. The vitality of the mind is the vitality of the perception. My head doesn't turn. In that sense, moving the body is not only moving the body, but also moving the head. It is the vitality of the mind. Do not be lazy, be fervent and serve the Lord. Then you will become a powerful people with an ever-expanding number of servings using your senses.
Christianity is the religion of the book. that one book. THE BOOK would be the Bible. In order to hold on to the Word of God and study the Word, you will have to read general books too. This will make it wider and connectable. It means that you can find answers to the frustrations and thirst for answers from reading general books through the Bible. I am convinced that we can become spiritually capable people who can grow into a capable figure through mutual exchange, so that each of us can build 100 and 150 floors instead of 10 and 20. The hand with the book wins. I hope that you will become a faithful servant of faith who can serve the Lord by holding on to God's Word and general books.
Let's pray that we will be caught up in the word of God. Growth is essential, but the way to growth is the ability to digest God's Word. I pray that we will be able to digest the Word of God a lot and use our understanding to make the Word of God the pillar of our lives.
