The Kingdom of God Like a Mustard Seed

Contents

The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed (Mark 4:26-32)

2011,2,6.

This happened when the 甲申政變 (Gapsin Coup) occurred in 1884.

Kim Ok-gyun, Park Young-hyo, and Seo Jae-pil were in power, but their power ended and the military forces. Seo Jae-pil, who was a judge, went into exile to the United States with Park Young-ho.

His parents and his wife, who were ordered to arrest, committed suicide by poisoning themselves. Their only 12-year-old son died of starvation because he did not feed them.

When they arrived in San Francisco, the king's son-in-law, Park Yeong-hyo, said that he did not recognize yangbans in the United States, and just wandered around and returned to Japan.

However, Seo Jae-pil said that the old Seo Jae-pil died and a new Seo Jae-pil was born from now on, and after 7 years of mopping, mowing grass, and washing dishes, he graduated from George Washington University Medical School and became a doctor. and strived for independence.

After liberation, he worked as a government adviser and died in 1951 at the age of 85 during the Korean War.

First, what is the kingdom of God? (Mark 4:26-27)

“Jesus said again. "The kingdom of God can be likened to this. A man sows a seed in the ground, 27. While he sleeps at night and wakes up during the day, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not know how it is."

1, It is like a man sowing seeds.

2, do not know the process of seed growth.

3, God makes you grow.

*** Kingdom of God

1), the prophesied kingdom (Daniel 2:44 “In the days of these kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom, which will never perish and will not be passed over to another people. I will strike and destroy all nations, and I will stand forever.”)

2), the kingdom to be fulfilled by the Messiah (Daniel 7:13~14) “As I was seeing these visions at night, one like the Son of Man came, coming with the clouds of heaven, and went out to the Ancient of days, and stood before him. 14. The Ancients gave him power and glory and a kingdom, that peoples of all nations and tongues should worship him. It is an everlasting power, and it will not move away, and the kingdom will not perish.")

3), the kingdom that Jesus is trying to achieve (Matthew 4:17 “From that time on, Jesus began to proclaim, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”)

4), a kingdom that grows in the preaching of the gospel (Matthew 24:14 “The gospel of this kingdom will be preached in all the world, and will be a witness to all nations, and then the end will come”)

Second, the order of sowing the kingdom of God (Mark 4:28-29)

“The earth produces fruit of its own accord, first it buds, then it produces a head, and then it produces the fine grain of the ear. 29. As soon as the fruits are ripe, put on the sickle. Because the harvest time has come."

1, bud

2, Isaac

3, grain

4, at the time of harvest

1), shoots; When a farmer sows a seed, the land bears fruit. Farmers can be helpers who create conditions for seeds to grow.

But it is not the one who makes the seed grow.

Seeds sprout by themselves by the providence of God.

This bud is the bud of grace. It is the epitome of the gospel.

The sprout is also pure faith without lies like a child. (2 Timothy 1:5 “I remember your unfeigned faith, which first abided in your maternal grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it also dwells in you.”)

A small child needs a lot of help before becoming an adult.

2), Isaac: After the sprout grows, it must bear fruit.

A sprout must fight many hardships before it bears fruit.

They have to suffer from strong winds and heavy rains, and they have to endure all kinds of adversity. It is only after such a relationship that the sprout will eventually become an ear.

Isaac can be said to be the period of youth for the saints.

This is the most prosperous and enterprising period.

He is passionate and passionate about everything.

The church must train them well in the faith.

Just as the ears of wheat must ripen well to become whole grain, the church must play the role of bright and clear 'autumn sunshine' so that their zeal, devotion, and service can bring good fruit to the church.

3), Grain: Grain is the final stage to grow as a sprout, so it means mature saints.

To become a mature saint, it takes the same process as when a sprout grows into a grain that is faithful to the ear.

Just as grain becomes a grain only through a normal process in a normal way, patience is required to become a mature saint.

4), when harvesting:

*. When the fruit is ripe: The ripening of the fruit refers to the state of maturity.

The weeds are the weeds, and the wheat is the time to show off your masterpieces by bearing fruit.

*. Sickle: When the fruit is ripe and the time is ripe, the farmers raise their sickle and harvest the crops. Gather the tares and tie them up in bundles to be burned.

The church is the same.

The time God has planned is for God, the farmer, to pick up his sickle and reap the harvest.

People will always stand at the judgment seat of God, whether they like it or not.

*. For the harvest has come: The harvest begins in due time.

Just as spring, summer, and autumn bring the harvest, God's judgment also begins when the time has come.

That is the time when wheat and chaff are separated. It is a time when the righteous and the wicked are clearly separated.

Harvest is the end of the world. This is the time when God's perfect reign is realized.

*** A kind-hearted daughter-in-law came to live in a poor Christian family.

Even though it was winter, my father-in-law was very poorly dressed.

The daughter-in-law was always in pain, but one day she cut off her precious hair and bought her father-in-law's clothes.

The father-in-law, unable to know this, saw the beggar who came to beg for food, trembling and naked on the same day that he changed his clothes.

But the kind-hearted daughter-in-law was watching the scene.

Still, the daughter-in-law did not blame her father-in-law in the slightest.

On the contrary, seeing that he gave out the clothes he bought for him by cutting his own hair, he was just admiring his father-in-law's beautiful heart.

Rather, the daughter-in-law forcibly hides her tears.

“Father, you said that if possible, you would even serve breakfast and send it to me.” Said.

Third, the parable of the kingdom of God (Mark 4:30-32)

“Jesus said again. "How do we liken the kingdom of God? Or by what parable do we represent it? 31. It is like a mustard seed, and when planted in the ground, it is smaller than any seed in the world. 32. But when it is sown, it grows and is greater than any grass. It stretches out its branches, so that the birds of the air can nest in its shade."

1, one mustard seed

2, smaller than all seeds

3, When it grows up, it grows up to (4-7m).

4, where we can live together
