Title: The Lord in the Low Place!
People in this world like big and colorful things. That's why everyone likes to live by chasing only visible phenomena. Unbelievers who do not believe have no eternal life anyway. Even so, believers should not do this. But these days, it has come to an age when believers prefer bigger and more flashy things. The reason is that he has lived with patience and restraint by believing in Jesus until now, but in the end he realizes that all he has left is a futile life, and although it is never too late, he wants to enjoy the world to the fullest from now on. So, with the greed to make up for the things that he has endured so far, he is busy with all kinds of things in the world. As our proverb says, if you know the taste of the meat in the middle ear, there will be no flies left in the middle ear.
Those who are scorched inwardly, when they open their mouths, call on the name of the Lord. Who is the Lord they are calling? The Lord they are looking for is the Lord who will listen to their complaints! The Lord will relieve you of your injustice! The Lord will cover your faults! The Lord will set you free! They are looking for only the Lord who will take charge of their wealth. They are constantly praying to the Lord to hear these things. If the Son of God is the one who comes to hear these things from humans, then the one who comes in that way is not the Son of God, and if it is the eternal life he gets, then that eternal life is no better than that!
There is no end to human greed. It is human greed to have two when one gets one, and to have three when one gets two. The only way to quench this human greed is to be reborn as Christ. However, believers are confident that they are born again with only the Holy Spirit. How, then, does a person who has been reborn as Christ set his hopes for things on earth rather than hope in heaven? Those who claim to be born again today will have to carefully examine whether they are really born again. Those who are born again will have their hope in heaven according to the Spirit of Christ, and those who are not will have their hope on earth because they will not be directed by the Spirit of Christ.
Another thing we need to know is that Christ never comes to a great place. Even believers are people who are no different from the rest of the world. Of course, the Son of God knows that He will come to a great and splendid place, but if you search anywhere in the Bible, you can see that the Lord comes to the lowest and lowest places, and never to the big and splendid places. When we compare tall and tall buildings to buildings, when we say that the highest floor is a large and splendid place, we can say that the basement on the bottom floor of the building is the lowest and lowest place. If we compare this to people of this world again, when we describe people who have wealth, honor, and power as big and splendid, we can say that those who have relatively nothing are low and lowly. Let's turn this back to the church, and when we say that a building with a grand building and a large number of members is big and splendid, a church that is not relatively low can be expressed as a lowly church.
On the other hand, those who pursue only big and glamorous things do not like to keep anything in mind because they rarely think deeply. So, no matter how honest the Lord wants to talk to them, they do not open their hearts, so the conversation itself is difficult. That is why the Lord already knows the hearts of such people, so he does not even visit them from the beginning. In today's text, "If you are not like a child, you can never enter the kingdom of heaven," all of which are also spoken in the same context. In the end, we can see that God's purpose in creating the heavens and the earth was not to change this world into a paradise on earth, but to obtain a perfect human being through His Son, Jesus Christ.
If you who are here now know what kind of people the Lord is looking for, you will have to descend about 70 steps further down from where you are currently standing to meet the Lord. You are people who have been greatly blessed compared to the people of the world just by being here. However, in order for the blessing to be completely mine, I have to reveal myself more and more, revealing myself to the Lord without wearing a single thread. When a second is divided by work, how small will the divided piece feel? Likewise, we must bear in mind that we can receive the Lord's mercy only when we discover and reveal ourselves to every ten thousandth of the sins hidden in our hearts.
