The meeting of the festival, the important thing

Contents

2002.10.30

Yesterday, my 7-year-old child came up to me and said quietly. "Dad, do you know what I hate the most?" "I don't know, what do you hate the most?" "I don't even know, playing the piano" My wife teaches the piano every day at home, so I guess that's why she doesn't like it. Last Thursday, my wife taught her child to play the piano, and it must have been scolded by him to match the beat. When I said, "Time is important, beat", the child said to her mother, "There are things more important than time." Then my wife said, "What's more important than the beat?" The kid said, "It's a heart." When asked, "What is a heart," the child said, "I don't even know love." I heard that and thought so. "Yeah, you're right." It would be more important for the children to confirm that the mother loves him, more important than studying the piano and studying the piano. There are important things in our lives.

The Chuseok holiday is approaching. On Chuseok, separated parents and siblings meet in one place. What is the most important Chuseok? Take your turn. cemetery. Does this really matter? Why do people serve their ancestors? In the end, isn't it because they think that by serving their ancestors well, their descendants will prosper with their grace? Isn't that the kind of thought that flows underneath even if you don't say it? During Chuseok, family and relatives meet and talk. What is the main topic of the story? "Who is running a certain business, what happened, and the daughter of an aunt married a man from a wealthy family, and what university did her aunt's son attend and how did he pass the exam..." What is this story, isn't it? What is the focus of the topic? In summary, "How are you?" This is it. The center of the topic is focused on whether you are living well or not.

But when we meet our relatives, what do we want to look like? Wouldn't it be nice to live well? We must live well. Living well is not a sin. Living well is not a shame. Isn't the apostle John saying, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health, as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2)? Your soul should be well, all you are doing, and you should be healthy and live a good life.

How good would it be to live as well as Joseph in today's text? I haven't seen my brothers in a long time. What does he look like? His position is the Prime Minister of Egypt. Faith was really good. He took care of all the hungry brothers with his financial wealth. Even the king approves of him. There is also honor. He not only prospered himself, but with his outstanding wisdom, he raised the national economy and freed the people from drought. Wouldn't it be great if we could live like this?

So, does living well happen by chance? It never is. Joseph was not created by chance. What must we do to live well?

1. You have to walk the distance (5).

You have to walk the distance. Joseph is a representative person in the Bible who walked the right path. Look at the Bible today. In the meantime, I met a group of brothers. People who trafficked themselves into slavery. You now have the power to retaliate. He became the prime minister of the most powerful country at that time. They came to beg. You can retaliate. You can ignore humanity and bully them outright. But he forgives his brothers. Never harm them. Because this should be the way of the believer. This is the extent.

Watch Potiphar's house being seduced by Madame Potiphar. She winks and seduces. Holds clothes and stretches. Still, don't fall for that temptation. What if he had succumbed to the temptation? I didn't live well. It would have been impossible to meet these brothers as prime ministers. He would have been put to death in the end. You may have enjoyed your pleasure with your middle-aged wife for a while. But how long will it last?

Some of the people I know went to the United States to study and received a doctorate in counseling from the prestigious Korea University. I went to school, fell in love, got married, and went to the United States together. While studying, my wife got a job in Korea Times and supported my husband in his studies. After studying hard, I got my Ph.D. and opened a counseling center in the United States. However, he met the woman who came to the counseling center and had an affair. Even after sacrificing so much, his wife taught him to study, but he threw it away. The wife now lives alone in the United States with a daughter who is in high school. It has become a jigsaw puzzle. Would this be living well? Satan tempts us to mislead us. In the face of any temptation, we must not walk the evil path, but walk the right path. We must walk the path that believers should walk. Then, the fruits of a well-lived life will be opened at the road and at the end of that road.

(Example - seduced the editor in college)

Look at the Bible, "It will not prosper for the wicked, nor will they live long, and their days will be like a shadow, because they do not fear God" (Ecclesiastes 8:13).

?or the way of the righteous is recognized by the LORD, but the way of the wicked will be destroyed??(Psalm 1:6).

2. If you face hardship on the way to the right path, you must interpret it with faith and overcome it.

Walking the right way is not easy. The path of life itself is never easy. It's not a solid road. It's not the way to go and sing a fun hum. It is a thorny road with hardships everywhere. You may get into an unexpected car accident. You may be frustrated by failing the entrance exam. The betrayal of a lover may lead to a desire to die. Sudden death of a wife or wife, bankruptcy of business, infidelity of spouse, divorce of husband and wife, unforeseen unemployment, failure of child farming, etc. I never know when a storm of hardship and trials will come before me.

Suffering can come to anyone. The problem is not hardship. How one interprets and responds to the adversity and hardship is a person's attitude. Knowing reality can be helped by accurately analyzing the problem. However, it is not the end of the story to pinpoint the problem. The question is how to solve that problem. More important than the situation is the attitude to deal with the situation.

Look at Joseph. At a young age, he left his beloved hometown and became a slave. It was not enough and I went to jail unfairly. What would you do if you faced such an unfortunate thing? What do we do when we suffer a little unfairly and suffer?

I woke up this morning and took out the Bible and hymns to meditate on the Bible. But when I looked at the hymn, it was a mess. I put it in my bag and it looked like children stepped on it. I have a phone at my desk, and when I call my children, I have asked them several times not to step on their dad's bag, but they do not listen. When I opened the hymn, the back page stepped on
