The secret to winning the title test

Contents

There is a movie called Public Enemy. It is the story of a detective who persistently pursues and catches a murderer who cruelly kills his parents and neighbors for his own benefit. The detective called human traffickers, vicious loan sharks, and organized gangsters parasitic in our society “public enemies.” There is a more evil common enemy of us like this. The enemy devil is the public enemy. The devil is the enemy of God and the enemy of all mankind. Because it is the devil who made this world unhappy.

We do not know how happy our spiritual life is even if we only drive out the enemy devil in our religious life. That is why Jesus said, “If I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you” (Matthew 12:28). This is because the world without the devil is the millennial kingdom and the kingdom of God.

So how can we live without falling into the devil's temptation? Let's take a look through the counsel of the Apostle Peter.

1. We must be humble.

Verse 6 says, “Therefore humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, for in due time he will exalt you.” The reason Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit was because they had a proud heart. Eve was deceived by the crafty serpent when she said, “In the day that you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God” (Genesis 3:5). The desire to become like this God is pride.

However, if you are truly humble, the devil cannot take advantage of you. How dare you say that man becomes God? But when the heart becomes proud, the right words cannot be heard. God is the creator of the universe, but we are only created beings. This is why our lives should be humble before God.

The reason we go through this kind of temptation is because we are not humble. If you are truly humble, God will hold you up and prevent you from falling. That's why Psalm 147:6 says, "The LORD sustains the humble, but the wicked he brings down to the ground." “Who am I? I am always thankful.” If you have a heart, no exams will come. The stronger a person's self-esteem, the more often they are hurt. However, if you are low enough to have neither self-esteem nor greed, you can never escape the test.

2. We must cast all our anxieties on the Lord.

Verse 7 says, “Cast all your anxieties on the Lord, for he counsels you.” Here, a recommendation is a circle to look around in a circle to take care of. It means that God cares for you and takes care of you. That is to say, you are responsible. The devil loves our worries and worries. Therefore, children of God must be strong and courageous, thinking that they are in God's arms no matter what happens.

Isaiah 46:3-4 “O you, who were embraced by me in the womb, and cherished by me from the womb, I will do this to your old age, and I will bear you until you are gray; I have formed you, and I will embrace you, and you will embrace me. and ask for it, and come down.” The devil comes to us as a test when we are restless because we do not have faith. In Luke 22:31 we see that Satan claimed Peter. When they were restless in fear, Satan made a claim.

Therefore, we must ask God for strength. It is the ability to not be afraid in the face of any difficulties and despair. It is the ability not to fear people and not to fear death. Even if the sky falls, the ability to trust and trust that everything depends on God is the power. The Lord also entrusted it to the Father. That's ability. However, like Israel in the wilderness, if they complain and complain about going back to Egypt because they have no faith, they become food for the devil. Therefore, I pray that you will cast all your worries on the Lord and enjoy peace.

3. We must watch and pray.

Verse 8 says, “Be sober and awake, your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” To be sober and watchful here means prayer. Even at this time, the devil is prowling around like a hungry lion looking for someone to devour. A lion is looking for something young or weak, or one that digs an eye. Therefore, the Lord told us to watch and pray so that we may not fall into temptation (Matthew 26:41).

Why were the disciples tempted when the Lord was arrested? It wasn't that they lacked love or lacked commitment. “Even if I die with you, I will not deny you.” These were the disciples who swore. Prayer was lacking. In the Garden of Gethsemane, I did not pray that I was tired. Therefore, no matter how hard and tired you are, please think and pray that it is better than being tempted by the devil. There is no business that can resist the temptations of the devil without watching and praying.

The disciples could not drive out the demon-possessed child. Then the Lord came and cast out the unclean spirits. The disciples came and inquired. “Why were we not able to cast out the demon?” (Mark 9:28) Then the Lord answered, “This kind cannot go out by anything but prayer” (Mark 9:29). In order to overcome this temptation, please watch and pray.

4. We must strengthen our faith.

Verse 9 says, “Be strong in the faith and resist him.” The devil is not something to be appeased. You have to let it shatter completely. We should be kind to men, but not to the devil. Because the devil is an eternal enemy who works to kill us. That's why James said, "Oppose the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).

We do not know how many temptations of the devil are behind the scenes without us realizing it. Therefore, please always defeat us in Jesus name. Even if you do this well, there are great benefits. While praying for our health, we pray that we will defeat evil spirits.

The Bible says that it is according to faith. Please save by faith. Then health, family peace, material abundance, and prosperity in life will come. The power of the Holy Spirit will come upon you. The country and the people will be at peace.

Jesus completely overcame the devil on the cross. The devil cannot do anything reckless to those who have true faith. Therefore, be more humble, cast all your worries, worries, and anxieties on God, and be at peace, always watch and pray, and strengthen your faith to resist the devil, our public enemy, so that no one will fall into the temptation of the devil, and the peace and happiness of the kingdom of God are to you I pray that you will become a beloved saint who is with you.
