Sermons for Preaching

The ultimate purpose of the title word

Contents

1. Words that begin

There are many farmers who lament because the seed they sowed does not grow, many office workers lament because they do not get promoted, and many lament because their work is not progressing. Also, there are many who lament because there is no abundant fruit or abundant results, but few complain because of the lack of abundant fruit in their own life.

According to the oriental classic ?Yegi?, it is said, “If jade is not pecked, it cannot become a vessel, and unless a person learns it, he does not understand the principle.” Goethe said, "A competent man is always a learner."

God, who created all things, created man as a living being with potential. Therefore, everyone must first learn the Law, the Word of God, for their own growth and abundant fruit in life, and then must learn the knowledge necessary for the progress and abundant results of work or business.

2. Moses Delivered God's Law to the Leaders

Moses, who faithfully served as God's instrument to deliver Israel from Egypt, who repented and cried toward God, told the people when he was 120 years old. The content is that he will not be able to set foot in the land of Canaan before he leaves the world, and God will raise Joshua to conquer and dwell in the land of Canaan.

Moses wrote and preached the law containing this content, 'Deuteronomy', so that the people could receive and enjoy the grace and blessings of God who works anew according to the changing circumstances. When his personal and personal mediator duties were over, Moses instead of giving up his hands was showing allegiance to God and his people in a new way. The documentary of God's revelation in this way can be said to be the beginning of the canonical canon, and it is an event with great significance. God's verbal revelation is temporary, and there is a risk of being distorted or added or subtracted in the process of being delivered, but God's revelation in writing is not. In that sense, the documentation of God's revelation, and nothing else at the time, was a milestone of great value.

What is really sad is the fact that even church members who claim to believe in Almighty God faithfully do the Lord's work and give up when conditions or circumstances change slightly. What is truly unfortunate is not an unfortunate situation, but because of that unfortunate situation, we give up our duties inside and outside the church. How are we? Everyone, please believe that our God will surely open a new way for us whenever the road of loyalty is blocked, and whenever our life path is blocked.

Moses gave the law, which recorded the words of God's revelation, to the religious leaders, the Levitical priests who carried the ark of God's covenant, and to the elders, the secular leaders. It was to enable them to preserve the written law and to pass it on to the people.

3. Moses Delivered God's Commands to the Leaders

Moses, who gave the written law to the priests and elders, gave them the commandments of God. In the last year of every seventh year, when all Israel gathers in the chosen place before God on the Feast of Tabernacles in the year of regular exemption, read this law so that all Israel may hear it. That is, every Sabbath year, on the autumn harvest festival to commemorate the wilderness journey, men and women, children, and foreigners living in the city should all gather together, and let them hear, learn, fear God, and obey all the words of the law.

The most important element on the day of the family festival was also the preaching of the word of God that everyone should hear and learn to fear God, keep and obey. Please believe that the ultimate purpose of God's law, or the Word, is to make people hear and learn to fear and obey God. It is never a fulfillment of intellectual or spiritual curiosity, or simple realization, but it is a matter of keeping the Word and doing it.

Just as knowledge that is not applied to real life is meaningless, every word of God that contains various promises of grace and blessing is meaningless to those who do not obey. The grace and blessings, which are the contents of the Word, come only to those who obey, not those who hear or understand. Deuteronomy 28:2 says, “All these blessings will come upon you and come upon you, if you obey the word of the LORD your God. You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the field; the offspring of your body, the produce of your land, and your livestock. Blessed will be the offspring of your family and the offspring of your sheep, blessed will be your basket and bread bowl, blessed will be you when you come in, and blessed will you be when you go out.”

The Law, or Word, which Moses wrote down and gave to the priests and elders, was not only for all the people of that time, but also for the children to listen to and obey God while they were living in Canaan, the land they would acquire after crossing the Jordan. The Word of God is an eternal truth that everyone can hear and learn to fear and obey God and receive new grace and abundant blessings.

Some church members fall into the illusion that God's word is so difficult that it is far from children and that only adults can learn it. It never is. Rather, the younger you are, the more effective the teaching of the Word is. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Teach a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Ephesians 6:4 says, “And fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Said. While preaching, Jesus was angry at the disciples who kept them from approaching, saying, “Let little children come to me, and do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such ones” (Mark 10:14).

4. Conclusion

Everyone must first listen to and learn the Law, the Word of God, to fear and obey God for their own growth and abundant fruit in life. After that, you must learn the knowledge necessary for progress in your work or business and for rich results. In fact, even this knowledge is meaningless if we do not listen to and obey the Word of God, who is in charge of life and death. Therefore, we earnestly pray that we, as well as generations, listen to and learn the Word of God, fear and obey God, and achieve abundant fruit in our own growth and life, and prosper in everything we do.
