Mark 11:12-14
Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.
When we entered, many people cheered...
But in less than a week they crucified Jesus...
The reason they have changed this way is not that the focus is on salvation.
As a political messiah...
It's not just their babies
If we too focus on Jesus for salvation,
The sound of footsteps firmly walking to heaven despite any tribulation...
But
If you focus on the wrong place other than Jesus, you will not be saved.
Anyone who doesn't care...
The next day [Mon], in the village of Bethany, Jesus was hungry..
Jesus' market?
Not only did Jesus live by his divine nature, but he lived by his human nature.
Because of this, the market of Jesus felt weary with humanity, so he rested and slept and felt the market.
Jesus, hungry, found a fig tree = to seek fruit
The text begins by approaching....
13 “He saw a fig tree with leaves from afar.”
The fig tree is about 3 m tall.
Leaves are divided into 3-5 parts like egg-shaped palms.
The fruits can be eaten raw or dried like persimmons...
Because anyone can easily see it from afar = In the eyes of Jesus...
Like this, God's people are easy to spot...
“That deacon is always vigilant” “He fasts” “He prays a lot..
“I do volunteer work from early morning until late...
“I did a lot of evangelism again…
even at home
“My wife always lives in the church” My mother must have married the church”
I hear this in church and at home...
So these people can see well from afar and at night, even at home...
Take good care of the person next to you. We met after a week.
But you can know who he is
This is proof that you can see well from a distance...
But it's not about looking good
13 “He went to see if there was anything in the tree, and when he went and saw
There was nothing but a leaf.”
Jesus came to the tree and enjoyed it.. not resting under the shade
Looking for fruit...
Plants and trees have their own role.
When a plant blooms beautiful flowers, it completes its job.
A tree that bears fruit...
If the vine does not bear fruit, the owner = cut it up or cut it and set it on fire.
Like this, the man of God has his own mission.
It bears fruit, = the fruit of the Spirit...
We are saved through the Holy Spirit
(1 Corinthians 12:3) Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says that Jesus is accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, it is natural to bear fruit through the Holy Spirit...
By the Spirit = in the flesh. lust, unfruitful of the world
Through the Holy Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit...
Only the fruit produces the fruit... The man of God bears the fruit of the Spirit...
The fruit of the Spirit is...
Gal 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law.”
To the underprivileged, as a body, as a material...
Qualities that enable others to trust, rely on, and follow them...
Also, evangelism, teaching, service, etc. are fruits obtained through the Holy Spirit.
Because the saints believed in J through the Holy Spirit and became God's people
We must bear the clear fruit of the Spirit...
You have to check it every day..
14 “Jesus spoke to the tree, saying, No man will come from you from now on and forever.
You will not be able to eat the fruit.” The disciples heard this.”
Jesus curses a tree that does not bear fruit.
And the next day the disciples saw that the tree had withered and died.
20 “As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from its roots.”
If you look at the figure of Jesus here, you may have doubts.
If there is no fruit on the tree, just pass by. Why the curse?
Also, fig fruits start to produce leaves in March and bear fruit in June.
Searching for fruit in mid-April and cursing that it doesn't exist...
Where is that nonsense?
And did it even need to die? The question...
However, it is a curse on the Jews who are desperate for hypocrisy and formalism.
All things are formal before God.
Therefore, there is no fruit in the sight of God.
They lost their qualifications as the chosen people and only respected God with their lips.
Therefore, the curse = means the judgment of God...
God is the subject of a curse when the chosen people lose their qualifications...
like this
When a man of God loses his qualifications as a man of God
The tree withers away...
It is a complete curse to us that the tree dries up.
Life itself is a total curse...
So let's see if there is any fruit in the Holy Spirit...
Unfruitful is eternal death
May you bear abundant fruit through the Holy Spirit.
