To overcome weaknesses and turn them into strengths

How to overcome weaknesses and turn them into strengths?

Exodus 4:10-17

There is a critic and thinker named <John Ruskin, 1819-1900> in England. He was as talented in art as he was a painter. He visited a family. The wife of the house wept as she presented an expensive handkerchief. “This handkerchief is made from the finest silk, and someone spilled ink on it. The handkerchief has a mottled pattern and is now useless for any pair.” John Ruskin handed the handkerchief to the lady and returned it to his wife, using ink marks to create a beautiful engraved handkerchief with the shapes of trees, forests and birds. Rather, it looked much more noble and elegant than the handkerchief before it. Ruskin said to the exasperated wife. “The ink marks actually motivated me to draw great pictures. Much more beautiful than the previous handkerchief, right?” So are humans. No matter how flawed, weak, contradictory, and wounded, when God's help touches us, we become a completely new being. If God's grace stays on that person, you can live a great life. If you believe, let's say Amen. (Amen)

There is not a single person who is not without weakness. Even standing here is full of weaknesses! He is a weak person who has too many things he can't do than what he's good at.

And if the saints who are sitting here now look at this and that one by one, weaknesses will continue to appear here and there.

No one is perfect except for Jesus. Only Jesus lived a perfect life in this world.

However, people are always worried about their weaknesses, and because of them, they can't do what they can because they don't have confidence and feel embarrassed. Sometimes, because they are not confident in their face or appearance, sometimes because of the complex of academic background, sometimes because of poverty, sometimes because of poor family environment, they are pessimistic about their life or lose the good opportunities they have been given.

However, you must be well aware that God does not pick and use perfect people.

No matter how well-educated and intelligent a person is, if they are arrogant, God will not use them. No matter how good your appearance is, if your heart is not in accordance with God's heart, you will be rejected just like Saul was arrogant and forsaken from God. No matter how much money you have, if you don't know God and leave God because of the material, what life could be worse than that? Those who do not view their weaknesses as weaknesses only, but who turn them into strengths will become successful in life.

Turn your weaknesses into strengths!

A wealthy jeweler, while traveling in Europe, found a rare gem and bought it for a large sum of money. Of course, it was to take it to his country and sell it for more money.

He returned to the jeweler with joy and looked around the jewels.

I found small scratches that I hadn't seen when I bought them.

.

"Ah! There was such a flaw.."

He didn't know what to do. Connoisseurs have also said that the blemishes devalue the gem. Instead of receiving its price, the gem was depreciating indefinitely because of a small flaw.

The jeweler's owner was immersed in several thoughts. How can I get this gem back to its original value?

He has made a decision after a lot of hard work and anguish.

It was to carve a rose into a small flaw in a jewel.

As a result, the value of the jewel more than doubled with a single rose petal.

So the jeweler's owner became happy again.

That little flaw is like our weakness. Dare to highlight what you were trying to hide as a new strength. It is our duty to constantly strive for that.

If you know your weaknesses and weaknesses, try to fix them. That effort makes us mature.

How many people in Korea who are handsome and in good shape are in love? All of the men who are chubby are all boasting of their muscles and their agility. But personally I'm not handsome, but my body is just fine

How can we overcome our weaknesses? We must pray to be able to overcome our weaknesses. However, if we only pray, the help of the Holy Spirit will no longer come. Now we can't just pray. Weaknesses should be used as strengths. The Holy Spirit doesn't want you to just pray over your weaknesses. The Holy Spirit doesn't want us to put our weaknesses to rest for a while through prayer. The Holy Spirit wants you to be able to overcome your weaknesses completely. What is that road? How can we completely overcome our weaknesses? The trick is to use your weaknesses as your strengths.

Look at the figure of Moses we read in today's text. What are Moses' weaknesses? can't speak? no. His fundamental temperamental weakness is in fact fear. Fear in front of people. It's a tremor right in front of you. There is no boldness. No adventurous spirit. I'm shy. There is no leadership. So it is God. “If you don’t speak, I will speak with your lips.” Moses and God have an argument. In this context, Moses' greatest weakness is an excuse for not being able to speak. There is no fear and no adventurous spirit. This has nothing to do with belief. Temperamentally, he has this kind of personality. It's a weakness. Because I keep saying that I can't, God gets angry and yells at me.

But what about Moses? Because God pushes so hard, we lose before God. Moses loses the argument. And Moses begins to challenge him. Because there is fear, it becomes an opportunity to depend on God rather. Cowardly Moses? But because they are afraid, they now go down to Egypt with God as their background. Grab a staff that God has given you and stand proudly right in front of you. There is trembling inside. There is fear. He is challenging beyond weaknesses. This is the way to overcome weakness. Moses overcomes his weaknesses and takes on a bold challenge.

Moses' weakness begins to turn into strength. I can't speak, no. Watch him speak right in front of you. Look at the leadership that leads the people. Doesn't he, who was afraid, lead the people and lead them into the wilderness God's help over Moses' weakness continues. Weaknesses can become strengths. Weaknesses are transformed into strengths the moment we depend on God. This is the secret to overcoming weaknesses. Don't bury yourself in your weaknesses, go beyond your weaknesses.

Peter has a quick temper. Because of that, in the beginning of Acts, Peter begins to open all the doors of missions. Hurry is a weakness. But look at how that weakness was critically used to do God's work. We need to do missions quickly because of our urgent nature. He begins the book of Acts by himself. Doesn't Paul do all of the latter part of Acts? God wants us to challenge our weaknesses rather than despair over them. Then the weakness turns into a strength. Peter's character does not last long. He has a quick temper. Because of that, how passionately does missionary start? When we can't do it, isn't God responsible for the latter part of Acts? Paul is in charge. Don't give up because of your weaknesses, rely on God and challenge yourself. Weaknesses will become opportunities for strengths. Hallelujah

*I have an impatient personality like Korean people Peter..! So some people say that we need to change the character of Korean people. Of course, there are cases where the Korean people suffer a loss because of their quick and quick grit. But I think the gains are probably more than the losses.

Rather, I think that Korea has changed from a poor country to a wealthy country because of its hasty character. Of course, I believe that we have become a prosperous nation because God loved and blessed our people. However, it does not mean that the country has become wealthy just by sitting still. Clearly, I believe these results were achieved because of our diligence, hard work, and diligence.

Look at India...! It's a lazy country. What was the result of that laziness... it brought about poverty. It is also a country that worships God. But their god never taught them diligence and never helped them.

Don't hide yourself because of your weaknesses. Seek God's help and turn your weaknesses into opportunities for strength. This is how God uses you. When you look at world famous successful people, they have many weaknesses, both mentally and physically. Their success lies in the challenges beyond their weaknesses.

Napoleon was short enough to be called a dwarf. Byron was said to have had one leg deformed, and Julius Caesar had epilepsy. Helen Keller lived through the triple pain of being blind, deaf and speechless. Mozart had lung disease. Beethoven was deaf. President Roosevelt was polio patient. However, they overcame their weaknesses and left great achievements in the history of mankind. Who calls them losers? Pascal is a sickly man. Whenever I lie down and meditate, I write down what I think of. It is to use weakness as strength. Weakness became a blessing. When we have a desire to overcome our weaknesses, and when we challenge ourselves to use our weaknesses as our strengths, God helps. The Holy Spirit gives strength and wisdom. If you believe, let's say Amen. (Amen)

Beloved saints, your weaknesses can become your strengths. It depends on how you deal with your weaknesses. If you have the desire to overcome your weaknesses, if you have the desire to use your weaknesses as your strengths, then do not give up or get discouraged by your weaknesses. Weaknesses can become strengths as long as God lives.

closing words

Do you have any weaknesses? What are your weaknesses? What are your weaknesses? Physical, personal, environmental, what? What is the fatal and irresistible weakness? Don't worry. If God's grace is greater than that weakness, there is no problem. When God's power is overlaid on your weaknesses, it can become your strength.

A psychologist named Maltz said, “95% of the world lives with a sense of inferiority because of weakness. But the problem is not what the weakness is, but how do you understand, accept, and overcome this weakness? Your life unfolds anew.”

God's people do not fail because of weakness. Weaknesses overwhelm you when you don't just use them as strengths. Although there are many cases where they are too strong to be used, there are many people who live their lives successfully because of their weaknesses. When we challenge ourselves even in the midst of our weaknesses, our weaknesses become our strengths.

Weaknesses are a problem, but if God's power is greater than our weaknesses, those weaknesses are not a problem. When God's power is overlaid on weakness, weakness becomes strength. Let the power of Christ rest upon me over weakness. Don't be discouraged by your weaknesses, don't be discouraged, and use your weaknesses as opportunities for your strengths. Let my worst conditions become my best opportunities. I bless you in the name of the Lord that you may turn your weaknesses into strengths and lead a successful life.

Beloved saints, look at how far I have fallen because of my weakness. How much have you struggled to overcome your weaknesses? It's not an easy problem. We don't have the power to change our weaknesses. It is the Holy Spirit who transforms. That is why we need the Holy Spirit. I want to pray like this at this time. Help me to live a life in which weakness is used as strength rather than frustration because of weakness. Please guide me, touch me, and fill me so that my strengths are revealed and my weaknesses are hidden.

I can only win when the Lord takes my hand. I can be victorious when the Lord fully supports me. If the Lord doesn't hold on to me, I can't do anything unless the Holy Spirit guides me. The Holy Spirit is the power of all things. Rule over me, take over my weaknesses. Let's all pray together.
