Two Peoples in Rebekah's Womb
Contents
Man's salvation according to God's promises is not because of human works, but according to God's election.
It is written, “This is the word of the promise, at this time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.” Not only that, but Rebekah was conceived by one of our ancestors, Isaac, and their children had not yet been born, and they did nothing good or evil. And that the will of God, according to election, in an untimely time, might stand, not by works, but by him who called, he said to Rebekah, "The older will serve the younger." As it is written, I loved Jacob, but I hated Esau. And what shall we say then? Is God unrighteous? It cannot be so. He said to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy." It is through God” (Romans 9:9-16), as it is testified that salvation is only the result of God’s mercy.
Twins are two lives. Two lives are not conceived by two persons. As it is written, “Rebekah conceived by one man Isaac,” two men conceived in the midst of the firmament.
These two men, the first man, the first Adam, and the second man, the last Adam, were also created by the will of the one and only true God. The world is divided between these two people. The first person is a person of natural darkness, and the second person is a person of light, which is of the spirit.
Therefore, the Bible says, “When their children were not yet born, and had not done any good or evil, that the will of God according to his election might stand, not by works, but by him who called,” and also, “I He loved and Esau hated.”
That is why the Bible testifies, “He who is born of the flesh is flesh, and he who is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Then how can two born of one God be born, one according to the flesh and the other according to the Spirit? There are those who criticize me, but God creates light and darkness, He also creates peace and creates tribulation. It is written, “I am the LORD, and there is no one else, and there is no god but me. Though you have not known me, I will make your belts the same, and the multitudes will know that there is no one but me, at the rising and setting of the sun, I am the LORD. There is no other. I form light and create darkness; I form peace and create tribulation; I am the LORD, the doer of all these things” (Isaiah 45:5-7).
It is also written, “Does the potter not have the authority to make, from a loaf of clay, one vessel for honor and the other for humble use? If God will show His wrath and make known His power, What can he say about the vessel of mercy, which is forbearing forbearance and prepared to be glorified?” (Romans 9:21-23). The human Adam is a vessel of mercy.
Therefore, in Rebekah's womb, there are two peoples, one of the natural people and the other of the spirit. Regarding this, the Bible says, “Those who are in the flesh think about the things of the flesh, but those who are in the spirit think about the things of the Spirit.” As it is written, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
The strange thing is that the first man was born of the spirit and finished with the flesh, and the second man was born with the flesh and finished with the spirit. It is written, “But what do you think? A man, having two sons, went to the first and said, “Son, go and work in the vineyard today.” He answered and said, “Father, I will go.” He did not go, but went to the second son and said the same thing. Then he repented and went away, which of the two did his father's will? He said, "The second son." Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, tax collectors and prostitutes will enter the kingdom of God before you." (Matthew 21) :28-31) The way of the cross is that the children of the spirit, who belonged to the flesh, put off the flesh and follow the Spirit.
Therefore, Esau is natural, and Jacob is spiritual. Esau is darkness, Jacob is light. All people in the world are Esau who was born of the flesh, but there is a person who has Jacob who is born as a spirit in him. Regarding this, the Bible says, "But the firm foundation of God is standing, which is sealed, saying, The Lord knows his people, and let everyone who calls on the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness" (2 Timothy 2:19). Here, his people are those who are born again of the spirit.
To be born again is to be born again after Esau came out and Jacob followed. Likewise, the Bible says, “But not first the spiritual, but the natural, and then the spiritual” (1 Corinthians 15:46). Therefore, the first Esau, those who are in the flesh, cannot please God. That is why the Bible says, “Esau was beautiful, and Jacob loved.”
All scriptures begin with “darkness and light,” “evening and morning,” “the first Adam and the last Adam,” “Cain and Abel,” “Ishmael and Isaac,” “Esau and Jacob,” “King Saul and David,” and “ It distinguishes between the superficial Jew and the inward Jew”, “the old man and the new man” and “the one who is in the flesh and the one who is in the spirit”. It is as it is written, “Therefore we do not lose heart, for though our outward man perishes, but our inwardly is renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16).
Therefore, whoever has Jacob in him, those who are in Christ, will say, "...a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come" (2 Corinthians 5:17). It is written, “Therefore I make it known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3). He who is joined to is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). Amen, thank you Lord.
